Unless the NYSP demand to know (outside of NICS regulations) the make, model, and serial number of the gun being purchased, it will be either "Long Gun" "Hand Gun" or "Other" there doesn't appear to be anything substantiating the rumor.Off the record I heard that NYSP will be arbitrarily denying any firearm purchase they view a non compliant such as AR platform firearms. So even if the feds say proceed they will still deny much like how nyc denies any firearms they don’t want you to have, even if it would be nys or nyc compliant
I would expect ONE check from the same Dealer whether it's one box, one round, or one thousand rounds.Because most people only purchase one gun at a time, so it would require only one check.
But people frequently purchase multiple boxes of ammunition at a time, and each one requires a check. NY is trying to fool people by making it cheaper, but in the end you'll end up paying a lot more for their co-called background check when you purchase ammo.
Then they'll start raising the prices for the ammo checks.
This is on top of the fake delays, the deliberate rejections, and other forms of oppression they will use to deny NY'ers their 2A rights. They'll have carte-blanche once they are the sole point of contact for background checks. Guaranteed.
From what I have heard it will be like with pistols. Where make model serial number and caliber is required. Again it’s only what I have heard off the record from people in the nyspUnless the NYSP demand to know (outside of NICS regulations) the make, model, and serial number of the gun being purchased, it will be either "Long Gun" "Hand Gun" or "Other" there doesn't appear to be anything substantiating the rumor.
So a Defacto Gun Registration, which failed under the un-SAFE Act, and besides, there aren't "Assault Weapons" for sale in NY, and Semi-automatic rifles require no record keeping outside the A&D Book... I won't say you're wrong or the information is inaccurate, after all this is NY where the NYC democrats do what ever the fuck they want without recourse. From what I have heard it will be like with pistols. Where make model serial number and caliber is required. Again it’s only what I have heard off the record from people in the nysp
And then it takes weeks or months for nys to issue a pass or denialGonna be some fun when the cranky old get-off-my-lawn fudds get BG checked for their annual box of deer slugs this year.
For the system, is it anyone's emergency or priority if the system goes down? It probably has a lot of single points of failure along with a slow, old cheap unreliable network connection.
Normally I'd say "call SCOTUS", but in the slim chance they even are willing to pick up the call don't expect an answer anytime in the first decade!since there is only tech support ..
who do you call if you get a false delay , denied from NYSP and want to contest it .... ???
Yea, but they're pussies who'll do nothing more than bitch and complain, and still vote "D" because he still thinks they're for the little guy.Gonna be some fun when the cranky old get-off-my-lawn fudds get BG checked for their annual box of deer slugs this year.
And they miss the entire deer season with no ammo because they only have one box because that’s all that’s ever needed right? What about the moron felon who hunts and goes to buy shotgun ammo and gets popped for that? It will happen. And then it takes weeks or months for nys to issue a pass or denial
I say all us gun owners should go to our local ammo dealers on the first day this system is up and buy a box of ammo for a bolt gun or shotgun. It may crash the system for a long time.i saying the system will be overwhelmed with in the first 30 days .. hey its built from the lowest bidders ..
it will be like a DDOS attack when everyone tries to buy a gun or ammo ..
Just once wouldn’t be enough. They’ll just brush it off as an anomaly of being the first day or week for that matter. If we really wanna Fuck with them we would need to plan and make a concerted effort to constantly crash the system on a regular basis. The obvious problem with that is that they’ll have the info. Of everyone who is doing it. Insidious fuckers.I say all us gun owners should go to our local ammo dealers on the first day this system is up and buy a box of ammo for a bolt gun or shotgun. It may crash the system for a long time.
I think this is part of the inspection and records required from FFL's. Twice a year records are to be sent to the state. I don't know how or any details, yet. From what I have heard it will be like with pistols. Where make model serial number and caliber is required. Again it’s only what I have heard off the record from people in the nysp
And what will that do other than they won’t sell you ammo until it’s fixed. They don’t care and they don’t want to sell you ammo.I say all us gun owners should go to our local ammo dealers on the first day this system is up and buy a box of ammo for a bolt gun or shotgun. It may crash the system for a long time.
The best way to mess with them is to have no one ever buy ammo again in NYS.Just once wouldn’t be enough. They’ll just brush it off as an anomaly of being the first day or week for that matter. If we really wanna Fuck with them we would need to plan and make a concerted effort to constantly crash the system on a regular basis. The obvious problem with that is that they’ll have the i fo. Of everyone who is doing it. Insidious fuckers.
So now they are making you break federal laws. Is this only for new purchases or past purchases?I think this is part of the inspection and records required from FFL's. Twice a year records are to be sent to the state. I don't know how or any details, yet.
The really big question that remains unanswered is: What Records?I think this is part of the inspection and records required from FFL's. Twice a year records are to be sent to the state. I don't know how or any details, yet.
If you don't mind the attention, go to your local FFL and buy a pistol caliber for a pistol you don't own. Watch the State melt down trying to figure out "why did CaliberPlus buy .25 when he doesn't have one registered". Once they come after you, sue the crap out of them.I think this is part of the inspection and records required from FFL's. Twice a year records are to be sent to the state. I don't know how or any details, yet.
This way they don't have any more info than what was previously given to get your permit, AND they don't get tax revenue on the sales. The best way to mess with them is to have no one ever buy ammo again in NYS.
I believe it is the A & D book but is rather open wording. One of the "requirements" is worded:The really big question that remains unanswered is: What Records?
Copy of the Acquisition and Disposition Book?
Financial Records?
Ledger Sheets?
Copies of all 4473's?
Sales slips, and if so, only guns & ammo?
There is a rising class of cheap, and ignorant politicians that are taking control of our Government, passing legislation written by Donors that have an anti-gun agenda; The Legislators know nothing of the subject, only the buzz words and that they'll get money for their re-election campaign if they get it onto the Floor.
The loss of the NY Senate to Democrats was the destruction of the Dam that kept w lot of this crazy shit passed by the ASSembly from ever seeing the Senate Floor.
The other huge thing the feds don’t do is ask you to send them the records twice per year. We’re finding them to spy on us and record what guns we’ve bought.I believe it is the A & D book but is rather open wording. One of the "requirements" is worded:
Does the dealer record the date, name, age, occupation, and residence of any person from whom a firearm is received or to whom a firearmis delivered, and the caliber, make, model, manufacturere's name and serial number,or if none, any other distinguishing number or identificationmark's on such firearm?
Currently Feds do not require occupation.
And then this:
Does the dealer maintain a record book or electronic based record of purchase, sale, inventory and other record's at the dealer's place of business?
And this:
Does the dealer submit a copy of records to the State Police every April and October?
Ooh I can’t wait. I plan on being in Runnings just prior to hunting season so that I can enjoy listening to and watching the fudds melt down over this shit. What great entertainment it will be !!Runnings (Brockport), manager said Sept 16 is their go date...$2.50 for each check for ammo (no limit on ammo amount), additonal $9.00 for firearm purchases. Gotta love the Dem One-Party-States like NY...
He’s but that’s already going to occur to most with the new rules on FFL’s. You’ll see a huge consolidation or you’ll only be able to order firearms and most will have zero inventory. I’m not in the business of appeasing the state or government to keep someone in business. Sad for the FFL’s and less convenient for me but I’ll buy what I need while I travel to other states a few times per year. That’s life and I’m willing to do it to avoid further surveillance. People have no clue what’s coming. Not you just the general hunter. But, if we don't buy ammo in NYS doesn't that also help accomplish their goal of shutting down FFL's by forcing them to go out of business?
Those are the requirements for Handguns which were previously classified by the State as "Firearms" but with the changes enacted, now long guns (Others) are included... does this mean a P-12 will have to be completed with every gun that comes in or out? There's been no indication, and I expect it's oversight, and while the question posed in their check list, I HIGHLY DOUBT there is a single Dealer or FFL in New York State that is making anything other than Legal and Lawful Transfers, especially of Handguns!I believe it is the A & D book but is rather open wording. One of the "requirements" is worded:
Does the dealer record the date, name, age, occupation, and residence of any person from whom a firearm is received or to whom a firearmis delivered, and the caliber, make, model, manufacturer's name and serial number, or if none, any other distinguishing number or identification mark's on such firearm?
