I didn't know that was the reason dicks stopped selling them. I have noticed that dicks doesn't have as much foot traffic as it has had in years past .
Could it be that they don't sell either the ammunition or the firearm most popular in the USA?

I noticed their stock price was up yesterday. Strange.
Just read an article from Dicks CEO regarding just that today. In basic his reasoning was the switch to brand specific marketing and the sale of Field and Stream ( more than likely the true cause) to sportsman warehouse. Forecasted long term sales ( the true crap shoot of business) will tell the real economic impact of those decisions with so many new firearms owners in the USA ( me included)

Prior to this latest "shortage" I was buying Wolf steel cased on-line for 18 cents a round (delivered). That same site is now selling it for 50 cents a round (when they have it).

They did have 1000ish round cases of .22 for $60 or $70 . Hunting ammo, a couple of boxes of 40 and 44 carry ammo.

I have seen dicks mentioned her quite often as a place to buy ammo. Why the hell would any gun owner do business with a store that does not believe in the 2nd amendment? Just to save a few pennies, or "that is the nearest store to me" is not an excuse!

I mean how far do you want to take it? Why do we buy from stores that will not sell high capacity magazines or full auto guns to us? Don't they support the 2nd A? I say buy what you can in these hard times. Would you rather have no ammo when the mob is outside your house because you "showed them" or would you rather get whet you need and be prepared?

12g birdshot, a few boxes of 10mm, maybe a couple .45, a few .357.
No 9mm or .223/5.56.
Some very limited stuff in .308 some hunting calibers. Shockingly I actually saw a few boxes of .50bmg go figure.

Glad I got 1000 rounds of 5.56 and a ton of 12ga 00 buck in March. Those are almost impossible to find now. TS has 1000 round cases of 5.56 here and there but they sell out right away and go for close to $500. I paid $275 when I got mine.
