Was just at Davis in Sloatsburg. They have federal 55g 5.56 - 500 rd for $400. asked for some 9mm, winchester 124 gr. fmj. $33 per box! defensive 9mm was going for $60, didnt bother asking for others.
They seem to have a good amount of 45 acp and 12g available though.

Not really "local" (company is based in Louisiana, but the owner lives near Syracuse and telecommutes), but this site will ship to your door in NYS (not NYC) and still has 'okay' prices - Simmons Sporting Goods | The South's Largest Sporting Goods Outfitter - free shipping on orders of $99 or more, but most of the ammo is limited to 4 boxes per caliber/grain, so you'll need to add two different types.
Yesterday he went through 100 cases (1,000 rounds of 9mm 124gr for $360) in 40 minutes, but they are adding more next week.
Check their website next week between 4:00pm and 4:30pm Eastern and be ready.
DISCLAIMER: I first ordered a week ago (4 boxes of 124 gr, 4 boxes of 115 gr) and have not received them yet - he said the warehouse has been insane. Other people on that sub-reddit have received their ammo and are super appreciative. I've been checking TS-USA daily and the only non HP 9mm they had this week was some 50 cent/round Federal yesterday..
I still have backorders from SWFA.com from JUNE and JULY that I'm hoping ship eventually... (since they already charged my card and all, at the 'old' prices)

Watch ammo supply warehouse. Not only are their prices high but I went to check out and they said congrats you’ve been selected for our double your order promotion for no additional cost. Shit I thought double your order for free. I knew it was too good to be true, thought it would be a membership thing. It was at no additional shipping costs.

NY Shooter Supply in Albany is supposed to have a ton of 9mm available for sale Saturday morning along with some Mossberg Shockwaves. 5.56mm and .223 has still been in stock most days.

I just stopped at Wolcott and Cabela's. Nothing but odd calibers. Wolcott had 44 Mag and 243 Win. Cabela's had some 25 ACP and 50 AE along with steel shot loads. Some 7mm and shit like that. Wolcott had a couple Glocks. A Gen 3 17 and 19. Everything else was odd and not really anything you'd carry. Cabela's had some nice 1911's and revolvers. Almost no other semi-auto pistols. Maybe one.

Stopped at a small LGS, Two 100 rd boxes of CCI SV can't pass them up! I left the four 100 rd boxes of Mini Mags for the next guy!
