You should go to all the clubs and events for gatherings of people you DON'T agree with. 
It'll be a tough crowd, but those are the votes you need to try to get. The ones that agree with you are not the ones you need to worry about.
I learned this attitude from a close family friend who is a Dem and ran for the NYS Senate (and won) after being a NYS Assemblyman for two terms. He always came to our gun club. I always told him it would be a hostile crowd. He said the easy ones are the votes he already has. It's the opposing votes he's trying to garner.

Totally agree. I've been trying to go to as many community groups/events with the biggest cross section of people that I can.

So today's the big day. Just finished casting my ballot earlier this morning on my way to work (yes, I still have to work even on Election Day). I feel relatively good but anything can happen. I'm going to a watch party later this evening so we'll see what happens.
For those of you who have not voted yet, here are some considerations:
For those in the 3rd Judicial District (Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselear, Schoharie, Sullivan, and Ulster counties) please vote for Linda Blom Johnson. She's honestly the only true conservative on that ballot for those positions (3 open positions with 4 candidates running) and would make a great judge. I had the opportunity to meet her and she's genuine, knows the law, and respects the Constitution.
For Sullivan County residents:
Jim Farrell for County Judge. His opponent is a Westchester liberal who is soft on crime (she's big on restorative justice). Sure, she speaks a big game about supporting sportsman's rights and such but I've gotten to know Jim and he's pro-2A, lived in the county his whole life, raised a family here, and has been either Assistant DA or DA for years. He knows the law better than anyone, be fair with his decisions, and defend our rights.
Russell Reeves for County Clerk. Russel is such a nice guy and knows his stuff. He's the current deputy clerk and knows the ins and outs of the office. I've also heard from several that his opponent is a douche who has made several of the women who work in the clerk's office uncomfortable with his speech and actions. I won't go all out and say it's sexual harassment but it's borderline at the least. Regardless, Russel definitely has the chops for the job.
Mike Brooks for the 3rd Legislative District in the County. Mike has been so gracious to me during this whole process and he's a dyed in the wool conservative who really is looking out for what's best for the county, especially fiscally. He's one of the few people out there that's really pored over the county budget and has the guts to oppose the building of a visitor's center (this is a very long story and I'm not necessarily opposed to building a visitor's center but what the county is looking to do now is going to be huge financial boondoggle which will do very little to generate tourism revenue...in short it's a vanity project for a few select individuals).
And as always, thank you all for your support, even if just virtually. And most importantly...get out there and VOTE!

I wrote in Mickey Mouse. No one in their right mind should vote for either of those losers who are running. Especially that guy on the Republican line. He's just a big gun nut...though he is damn sexy so he's got that going for him at least
