I was browsing around breitbart and ran across this article (Missouri Lawmakers Push Campus Carry, Liability for Gun-Free Businesses ), the first thing that struck me was "WTF is going on with that magazine ?"

The only thing I can think is that the guy intentionally jammed it in there backwards, but why ?

I figured this was a more appropriate forum than "firearms in the news" because the discussion is about that gun, not the news article per se.

That guy may not be that stupid but I have seen scores of folks that stupid and worse at various ranges.

That's not even close to being seated. It's in there by the very top of the mag not much deeper than the lips.

It is either fastened externally that way or a photoshop. The shape of the mag well wouldn't allow insertion of the mag backward. Why bother would be my question.

A couple of weeks ago at my gun club a man and his wife asked for help shooting his new pistol. He has had his license for several years as he had been a guard at a nuclear generation plant. I thought, "this will be easy" until he handed me a loaded magazine with the ammo loaded backwards. When I pointed this out they both said, "how can you tell?" I advised them to take the pistol course my club offers and don't use the pistol until they do.
