I never understood this "hoarding" nonsense
I loathe the concept.
For example, if one purchases food while food is readily available to all, and spends a little more to buy say 10 % extra food per week to save, all the while this food at stores is readily available to anyone who wants to exchange their money for those goods how is that hoarding?
It's an idiotic concept to shame or demonize people are wisely spending money while others spend theirs on crap. When those who spend their money on bullshit nonsense realize something went wrong and now food is all of a sudden more scarce or more expensive they want to use this to absolve any self responsibility for their failures and poor decision making and start throwing out verbage blaming "food hoarders that need to share for the greater good". Yea. I think not.
Life is choices. You're free to be narrow minded and short sighted. It's no one else's fault if you ignore the future.

As with most things the best time to start was yesterday... but if you didn't start yesterday, then it's better to start today then tomorrow.
So, I went shopping today.
I went to BJ's and Federal Meats.
I will begin with Federal Meats.... two pounds of breaded chicken fingers, a month ago the bag was $21, today was $29.50. I picked up some breaded veal patties as well; they went up three dollars a pound since a month ago.
I was a bit taken back at BJ's, not just the increases in pricing, but the empty shelves. Well, not really empty, they were filled with other products. The paper products isle was void of paper products and filled with pallets of cased water.
The prices today were at least 25% higher than just a week ago.

New generator from fucking CHINA that is leaking gas all over my fucking driveway. I picked it up at Grainger industrial, as opposed to buying one online which are 99% refurbished so I paid a little more. Got everything hooked up and she wouldn't start, couldnt get her going, I start looking around and shes pouring gas all over my garage . the thing weighs a good 300 pounds and Im going to have a hell of time getting it back to the store after siphon all the gas and oil out . WT liveing F! All I read is 5 star reviews .
I've noticed less choices and selection, less available on the shelves of those reduced selections, increased prices and smaller quantities.
3 examples I saw just today.
12oz of bacon package (is now a thing apparently) and it's being sold for what a 1lb (16oz) used to sell for
Way less frozen vegetables available. Way less choices and way less quantity.
Other aisles appeared to be fully stocked but in reality were not the front row was pulled to the edge things were only stacked 1 deep and empty shelves behind
It's real.

Took Butterfly’s list of canned pumpkin, condensed milk, napkins, brown sugar, confectionary sugar, tomato purée, linguine, canned whole cranberry sauce, candied fruit, and minced meat pie filling to Price Chopper today. Only thing I didn’t get was the candied fruit. Seem to be adequate stock on the shelves.

I went to Walmart last week and they were out of paper bags. They had the good old fashioned, now illegal, single use, destroy mankind, plastic bags at the registers. I didn't even know who to call to turn them in. Next time I'm just dialing 911 and they can figure it out.

One of the stores my wife used to work at had cases of plastic bags when cumhole started the ban. We still have plenty for use as garbage bags and to pick up the dog shit in the yard

I’ve done this once already. Potato yeast makes potato bread. Not bad, but not great either. I need to play around and tweek it better to my liking. It is a good thing to know though.
