Damn Will. That escalated quickly. I was going for the modern non violent form of a dual. I don't want to shoot at you because you have shit taste in guns.
Damn, I love this forum. All joking aside, you guys make my train commute into the city and back home pretty damned enjoyable. Sometimes I almost miss my stop arguing nonsense with you guys.Damn Will. That escalated quickly. I was going for the modern non violent form of a dual. I heard you called dibs on him. He's all yours.Wow. You guys gonna kiss or what.
Acquiring the proper sight picture is going to be a bear.
All I have to do is spray my 16 shots. He'll only have 8. And then we'll settle this 9mm vs .45 ACP argument once and for all! Which one will penetrate? Who will hit more?Acquiring the proper sight picture is going to be a bear.
So you are not doing this in NY then? All I have to do is spray my 16 shots. He'll only have 8. And then we'll settle this .9mm vs .45 ACP argument once and for all!
My gosh. the .9mm is not a good defensive caliber and ammo is impossible to find. All I have to do is spray my 16 shots. He'll only have 8. And then we'll settle this .9mm vs .45 ACP argument once and for all!
Edit inbound. My gosh. the .9mm is not a good defensive caliber and ammo is impossible to find.
How about 9mm carbine vs 12 ga shotgun? Also there are .45's that will handle that barrier no problem!
I'll take that challenge. Your buckshot will not penetrate. How about 9mm carbine vs 12 ga shotgun? Also there are .45's that will handle that barrier no problem!
12 Gauge Flechette Shot Shels - 3 Units Per Package - G12-015 Man you definitely don't think outside the armor. Of course I am a mean old man so: These will cut right through the pelvis rendering a person inoperable and withering in pain while bleeding out, one to the shoulder just to make certain no shots can be returned then, toast the victory with the loser before they lose consciousness, no center mass hits required.I'll take that challenge. Your buckshot will not penetrate.

Who said anything about buckshot? You think a black magic slug would penetrate?I'll take that challenge. Your buckshot will not penetrate.
Guess I'll have to turn around faster then.Who said anything about buckshot? You think a black magic slug would penetrate?
But first thou must swap thine weapons.Well, I challenge thee to a duel! 10 paces!
Me with a .45? No way. I haven't shot my 1911 since I've gotten the 9mm. Not changing now.But first thou must swap thine weapons.
That's just silly. I wanna get a 1911 very badly, though its down the list some. It's still fine shooter with wonderful egros.Me with a .45? No way. I haven't shot my 1911 since I've gotten the 9mm. Not changing now.
I'm actually giving it to my sister in Florida. I have no use for it. I'm not really a toy type of guy. That's just silly. I wanna get a 1911 very badly, though its down the list some. It's still fine shooter with wonderful egros.
Gun doesn't have to be a first line defensive tool to warrant a spot in my collection. Besides I need one to pair with my Garand, also an outdated yet thoroughly, wonderfully entertaining gun.
I think the CZ P01 will be the next purchase. A T&E phase will determine if I continue on with striker guns or revert to DA/SA hammer guns. The one I fondled in TN left me with a pretty favorable impression.
I wouldn't consider a 1911 a toy by any stretch. To each their own I suppose.I'm actually giving it to my sister in Florida. I have no use for it. I'm not really a toy type of guy.
I've never really been a gun guy as far as shooting pistols go. I never found it to be fun. Weird aye?I wouldn't consider a 1911 a toy by any stretch. To each their own I suppose.
I find guns that are strictly for range use to be more fun, your are not scrutinizing every little malfunction, you just focus on the shooting. I try, succesfully, to not lose sight of why I am so passionate about guns in the first place, which is that I really enjoy shooting them. And I like variety in my collection.
I've always been more of a rifle guy too, but in my case I think its due to a lack of exposure to handguns. I am determined to become at least a fair shot with a handgun. They certainly take up less space in the safe, which is always at a premium for me. My list of handguns wanted is longer than my list of long guns.I've never really been a gun guy as far as shooting pistols go. I never found it to be fun. Weird aye?
I've always preferred shooting rifles at distance. I'm pretty good at hitting what I want to hit with them so now I only really focus on my carry piece when I have the time and lately my time has been rare. That 1911 has been sitting there for about 6 years now untouched. It's a family heirloom but since I have no sons, it'll go to my sister and then her son. They do not have anything so it's a win, win for them.

I wish I had the time to do that. I'm away from home commuting and working for a total of 13 hours a day. Then come Sat and Sun, we have to go to BJ'S, and other crap.I started with pistols, then I got into IPSC and so on. Only got heavy into rifles about 16 years into my career. Figured out shooting things at 1100 meters with machine guns from a helicopter was fun and wanted to shoot at tiny things a long way away. I don't shoot pistols much anymore maybe 2000 rounds a year. I shoot much more rifle ammo.
My wife asks me, "don't you need to go to the range or something?"I wish I had the time to do that. I'm away from home commuting and working for a total of 13 hours a day. Then come Sat and Sun, we have to go to BJ'S, and other crap.
