I don't know what the US is doing. I haven't heard a thing since Brandon made the announcement. Canada is pushing forward. During the week of Christmas, I was talking to one of the Canadian Border Services agents about it, and she told me that she thought the deadline was being pushed back. Even she got bad information. All I know is, I can enter Canada for 8 more days, then magically somehow I'm a threat to the Country ( but nobody can explain how I pose a threat )

The vaccine mandate for cross border truckers was scheduled to begin in a few days, January 15th. However, the Canadian vaccination rule for U.S. truckers will remain in place.

As far as I know, tomorrow is the last day I will be allowed into Canada. The rules for US drivers are still in place. I will not miss the traffic and sheer stupidity of Canadian drivers, honestly. I have been applying at other companies recently, but have yet to accept an offer. I'm not too worried, there are tons of driving jobs listed locally. The place I currently work for has yet to hire a replacement for me, so if I leave they're going to be screwed.

Out of all of the truckers I've talked to recently, I think it's more like 50% of them are unvaxxed here in the states.
The few that I've talked to, you bring up anything vax, man do they get mad! I don't blame them.
So let's recap: They let off the 100 worker mandate, but the left the trucker and healthcare mandate.
So doing a quick analysis here, using basic judgement, those folks that kept their jobs because they didn't need to get a jab will now face no work, because no trucks to bring the materials to them. How about them healthcare workers that rely on those trucks to bring medical supplies to them? Guess those folks don't need to worry that they ran out of gauze pads for a wound. Or medications that come from Canada for instance. They are out of a job now.
You see, these governments are eroding the inner core of their own countries. If the vax didn't kill off enough people, they want to be double sure they do by starvation and medical issues. Why? Because truckers can't get the supplies to where they need to be.
It's all a trickle down effect.

There are places where 1 truck a week supplies dozens of people full time.
