(as he wags a finger or two). The other triggers are the previous Administration or the actual word Trump. And finally any iteration of the word vaccine.
As I see it, after the first 5 minutes, we will all be schloggered and will easily be able to get through the rest of the night.

Once he finished blaming the previous administration for the anti-vaccine people that caused the mask mandate to be extended and he and his administration ended the restrictions, and how gays can still run around nude on beaches because he stopped the rising sea levels., he's got nothing.

For the first time in decades I missed the state of the union. I just couldn’t do it. I set the TV up for my FIL to watch it and the first thing I heard was some babble about deer not wearing body armor. I ran screaming from the room.

Wife and I watched it. I was told to "stop making fun of that poor man." Not that she supports him, but its more like making fun of a mentally challenged person. We looked at each other with confused faces whenever he made a gaffe. Needless to say, we were looking at each other a lot. Overall, about the speech, I can only hope that no one outside the nation was watching. We are in worse shape than I thought.

My dad had dementia. My sister and I didn't parade him out in public to humiliate him. Sorry, you are going to put yourself out there in the highest office in this country knowing damn well there is something wrong you open yourself up to abuse.

I explained that I considered it elder abuse. Never stopped making fun of him either. My wife is a very compassionate woman. I however, have little compassion, especially for those that purposely put themselves into situations.

I consider people associated but not active in public life to be people you generally shouldn't criticize. I never picked on Barron Trump - he didn't inject himself in politics when Trump was president. He just happened to be the president's kid is all. It's not really the right thing to criticize people who don't participate and are just a bystander by circumstance. Eric Trump and Don Jr however were active in politics and were open to criticism. Criticize Joe Biden all you want, but IMO it's low to pick on relatives that have nothing to do his politics.

I know some of you will shit on Biden no matter what he does (I mean that plainly: nothing he would ever do would not be denigrated) because it's your default position, but of the last two presidents of the USA:

1) One has called Putin, who is now literally massacring people in Ukraine, a "genius" and "savvy". Kowtowing aside, it's now glaringly apparent that this invasion was anything but savvy or the result of genius. It's been an epic, historic fuck up by Putin.

2) One has played a key role in what is now clearly hideous and crushing sanctions on Russia, responsible for an overnight decimation of its currency, its continued shut down of their stock market (it's been closed for several days now), and energy giants like gazprom kicked into the gutter. Russia has already suffered, and will increasingly suffer, without a shot fired.
