I know out here if you are listening to the scanner and they want a "private" conversation about something they just say "call my cellphone".
In a world where everyone carries an encrypted radio with a worldwide range in their pocket at all times the actual police radios main advantage is just that it doesn't depend on the same infrastructure as the cellphone.
Honestly for 99% of police work you guys could just get by with cell phones, Bluetooth headsets and conference bridges.

I'm sure most of them will behave. Then the assholes will come out and loot. I think he's lifting the curfew because he no longer has police to enforce it. If there's nobody to enforce a law then the law has no teeth and it will make him look bad when the nice citizens of Buffalo are running around the streets at midnight because they don't care about a curfew.

Let all the cops stand down, quit, whatever. Simply allow private citizens to fully exercise their rights to defend their personage and property. Allow the people to organize into the Militia as was always intended. We don't need the government to provide protection that we can provide for ourselves.
In Altoona PA during the big protest there all the homeowners along the march route organized and stood at their door steps with pistols, shotguns and rifles in open display. The was a protest here in Johnstown, neighborhood watches were formed, I was part of one myself. I organized with some of my new neighbors with the help of some of the maintenance team I have befriended (guy that installed my ACs is a vet, cool guy, put me in touch with the other like minded individuals in the neighborhood) we had no issues other than the buisness shutting down like pansies.
Government overreach and a belligerent, militarized police force are the cause of all these problems. We need to take back control of our own security.
We can take care of ourselves.

Curfew was bullshit and if the DA refuses to prosecute any for breaking it why have it so this can happen again? Flynn’s a pussy. Also where’s the arrests and fines for breaking the social distancing? Maybe, but don't be surprised if there is an appeal. She was "hurting" in a time of tragedy and if she is let out early the "community can heal".
Not gonna happen. She’s a convicted felon. She’s facing multiple felony charges, both state and federal. Although possible, usual rule is no prior custody credit on federal sentence for time credited towards the state sentence. She’s facing 20 on just one of the state charges (there are 4 or 5 I think) and 10 on the federal.
My advice to her friends and family - forget about her and move on with your life.
