The only moves that aren't stupid are "change the rules" or "stop playing".

I'm not a cop, but if that creepy old fuck schmoozed up to me like that I would have shoved him to. He probably would not have fallen because there would be no political point to be made in doing so, no un merited hospital visit, no fake bleeding on the brain, a likely impossibility in his case, no undeserved big media coverage.
