I already explained that to you multiple times. Read my previous posts.Show me where it says permanent? I will give you a month. When a magazine is not detachable it is fixed. Plain English

Yeah, but would you do it IN FRONT OF YOURSELF!?I agree.
Sure, I don't risk consequences regarding my guns, but I certainly do in others ways at least once a week at the range. I proudly ignore multiple gun laws regularly and talk about it openly with many others at work. If you're not willing to risk your principles, you really don't have any.
No offense but that is a lot easier to say when you have a 99 % chance of not getting arrested.I agree.

Well said. I can't argue with that.It is stupid to parade in front of a cop for no reason other than to be the actual embodiment of John Stark's fake bravado. And of course there are limits. Like I don't expect my civie friends down here to carry to and from the range. But I do expect them to own whatever they can legally acquire in say, PA, and use it at the range at least if they want to talk smack about being a patriot who keeps it real.
Should I ever see an 80% lower full-featured AR again in the hands of an evil NYC gun owner, I know what I will do no matter who else might be on the line. And by again I don't expect it to be a rare occurrence as I'm usually asked to... well, lol, we have rats here.
Be a badass or don't, that's fine, just don't talk like one unless you are.

Ummm.... what thread have you been reading?Perfect time for my periodic, "Where's the screed?" post.
As far as I know that's what was approved by the state police. Also epoxy has to be over the magazine locking device. I bought DDs ranch kit and that's what it said approved by NYS after epoxyi g over the screw hole. I know it's approved because they are at the gun shows and the police are all over the place. I agree it's stupid, but what makes any magazine lock legal since all of them can be converted back, but many are legal. Just like my 12 round mags pinned at 10 rounds. A dreamer can take are of that easily. How can epoxy make it legal? If the epoxy is scraped, cut, or gouged away then a magazine can be inserted.
I don't think anything was specifically approved by the SP, as in, in writing. It's all based on what certain Troopers have said. They don't know which way is up either, the rank and file Troopers anyway. I've talked to the local LEOs and what I get from them is their simple but effective test for what they deem as Safe compliance. If they press the mag release and the mag stays fixed, it's good to go. That's Troop C. The Sheriff pretty much feels like, F' the safe act.As far as I know that's what was approved by the state police. Also epoxy has to be over the magazine locking device. I have yet to see anything in writing. I know there was supposedly some paper from a NY gun manufacturer that had some deal with the SP but it's a bunch of BS.
State police don't hassle him for selling his ar's with epoxy. State police also like the little sticker on the mag locks he sells that says use epoxy. He knows, as well as the state police, you don't have to epoxy it. It's not a bb. The law doesn't say we need the state police' or any atf agents approval, but when you're running a business it's wise to keep them happy. As far as I know that's what was approved by the state police. We all have our button.

I contacted our illustrious Attny General and asked for a definitive answer on what constitutes a fixed magazine. I received a reply in the form of a letter that basically says to contact the State Police. Well, my take on this is if the Attny General can't give you a definitive answer then the law is to confusing to be upheld in a court of law. How can the court system expect anyone to be able to comply when the State itself can't give any kind of answer other than ask someone else.
Now if all here just argue amongst ourselves would contact The Attny General asking for a definitive answer and getting nothing, when and if it became an issue, I'd say we'd have a pretty good case against the State. I personally take his response as I don't know so he is leaving it up to me to figure out their unclear interpretation of the law.
All of this is just my opinion but I will not let the State scare me into not exercising my rights just because I might get in trouble.
Can that lower still accept a magazine after the 10 rounder is removed with a tool? Yes or no.Has there ever been more time wasted on a stupid question on this site ? Of course a bullet button is a no go because the lower can still accept a magazine. There is this big hole there you can stuff any mag up to 100 rounds into and rock and roll. If there is no open hole, then the lower cannot accept a magazine. As long as the hole is plugged with a 10 round or less magazine that cannot be removed w/o tools and time or plugged with a chunk of wood held in by 6 screws is immaterial. This is almost as bad as Facebook !
What is needed on NY beaches !

A bone stock SKS can accept a detachable magazine after you remove the fixed one. Is that a no-go too ?Can that lower still accept a magazine after the 10 rounder is removed with a tool? Yes or no.
You sound like a broken record. It's been explained to you already. When you find me a SINGLE conviction, then your ZERO score may improve.
