No. A detachable magazine is one that is designed to be detached for reloading and not replacement or maintenance.

AR magazines are designed and marketed as detachable. A tubular magazine is designed as a fixed magazine.

I don't remember seeing that anywhere in the safe act, or any other law for that matter.

If that was what they meant, they should have said the ability to accept a loaded magazine, but they didn't.

If I decide to market a tubular magazine that can be loaded, then screwed on to your normal unmodified shotgun, does it suddenly become an AW ?

It makes perfect sense. By that reasoning, even if your rifle with a BB installed was illegal, once you attach the magazine, it cannot accept another and it becomes legal.....

It was a pretty simple request. The ATF officer clearly interpreted the fixed mag application. The rest didn't matter. The Judge was satisfied with his answer and so was I. Once the Mag is fixed it is no longer an assault weapon and all the other stipulations no longer apply.

I've read some where true or not .. hope its true .. in court .. they cant say see with this tool or that tool the mag comes out .. basically they cant do gunsmithing during court ... if the gun has to be torn down and not able to fire its a pile of parts .. so just a naked lower can take a mag , without the
upper its not a functional gun ..

Spat. Nice try forgetting that the magazines are designed as detachable and can be no matter what. With the BB installed, it can still be detached and another one of in it's place just like a regular AR can.

I guess if we keep our standard AR's loaded, they cannot accept another one.

Locking a magazine is different than comparing a button to press.

Will, literally nobody is agreeing with what you're going on about though? We aren't talking about how easily you can jack up and remove a magazine lock, or fuck up members rifles to stuff magazine in it. The discussion was about a fixed magazine being legal by using a part that keeps the magazine from coming out to allow another magazine to be inserted.

It says semi-auto, which is well understood to mean a bolt that will cycle automatically after you fire.

i think your referring to the New York reload .. that was having 5 or more revolvers on you .. shoot n drop , grab a new one ..
