Nope. Too late for California. The state is a majority non-American-born citizens, now. Most of those "citizens" have more of an allegiance to the nation that they left than the nation in which they live. They've imported their socialist ways with them.

However unlikely it is to actually happen, it's a step in the right direction. The social/political climate is ripe for this sort of thing. Yes, I believe we are that divided.
Just let it happen, work out all the incredible details and let it happen. Everyone will be happier and foreign powers will be less involved than there would be in a civil war.

Considering we can't give up the west coast for security reasons and we historically don't take this sort of thing lightly its not going to happen. At minimum California will split into north south and the sliver that's been mapped out as California will be come a DMZ with a border wall.
If they do split from the US the north would fight the south, I as an American would ask my government to refrain from getting involved in foreign affairs. The insurgency would surely be interesting. Once the smoke clears the obvious victor would ask to be part of the US. I mean you cant win a civil war when your populace is not armed.

This is the scenario with the most plausibility. With this scenario playing out it would be like having three New York States where each 'state' is controlled by NYC libs. They would increase their Congressional and Senatorial representation in DC and those electoral votes would swing close presidential elections to the left.

I think it will go further than it ever has. I think the liberals want to split and the conservatives want to split. I think it will pass in Cali, but they are not the one that make that decision. The feds need to weigh in on it and I don’t see it passing the fed test. I think Trump might support it, but others no.
