I prefer all black when i going full retard mall ninja. ODG or FDE or more common in my bag but I do have a winter bag too with winter white gear.

I do not do camo clothing. I had enough of that when I served. I wear Earth Tones these days. I stay as gray as possible. You wear camo out and about, you stick out like wearing Bright Pink in the woods.
When traveling with firearms in anti-gun territory you want to draw the least amount of attention to yourself. For that reason I don't have any gun related bumper stickers on my vehicle or camo pattern gear or closing. It's common sense.
Not quite, I wore camo for 20 years I don't need to wear it now. As soon as I retired I gave all my BDUs away to paintball playing kids.
More like camo = mall ninja.
I don't come even close to fitting in my old BDUs.
My personal thoughts are I have plenty of BDU woodland style camo to wear if it's SHTF and I'm worried about an active combat or recon scenario.
If not if it's some sort of less intense scenario where I'm not expecting combat I'm more than happy with earth tone type colors. I would want something fairly functional and useful but less attention grabbing and lower profile .
I think camo has its place but at the same time wearing some sort of OD, FDE, coyote, Ranger green etc scheme can still be practical and useful but much less attention grabbing.
Almost all the gear I've purchased has been some shade of coyote Brown. It seems to go with anything, blend well in multiple environments and draws less attention . I also like ranger green but it's harder to find and usually more expensive.
As far as needing a camo setup I really like ATACS FG but I can't justify spending the money on it for limited useage
In a true SHTF I think the less attention you get the better.

If you need camo, real tree and mossy oak work better in our environment than any military camo would anyway and you wouldn't look like someone trying to kit up for war.

Large open patterns is all that you need for most any situation since that is what breaks up your sillouette the best. Muted Greys, green and brown are just as good as any camo pattern . I’m a hunter so my camo of choice is usually the outfitter open pattern. Blends in anywhere. I don’t where camo out and about as a fashion statement.

I have a bunch of woodland camo, I hunt a lot and it's cheap. Takes a good beating too. Really like the huge pockets I can stuff my hat gloves in until I get cold. Around here it isn't an attention getter, lots of people wear it. My truck is also woodland camo, but it did come from Camp Lajeune. Got a good buy on that too.
