generally I agree, though if the us gets Europe to do the same then that does send a message. Biden is being tougher on China than many had thought.
Europe is a lost cause, they have no leaders with any spine. They could not even enforce their own will and because of that they all will be Islamic nations in 20 years.

They have been raping and pillaging industry around the world on the backs of slave and child labor. Every thing they have that was created in the last 50 years was stolen - either stolen intellectual property or stolen labor of their people. We should be treating them like we treat Cuba.

The West doesn't get to pick Chinese government. The West couldn't care less about Chinese people. It's all geopolitics. The reason there is so much resentment towards China is because it's a Communist success story.
Why is everyone so anti-China? Why all this hate?

I'm not a fan of how China treats its people. I don't like that they persecute people based on their religious beliefs. I'm not a fan of their theft from US companies. I don't like the influence they have in US companies, universities and media - I think it is counter to our best interests. I don't like how China has been dumping powerful, concentrated drugs on the US market and the harm is has caused to out country. I am aware of a tiny bit of the spying China is doing on the US and state governments. I don't really understand it, but again, I don't like it and what it can potentially lead to. I could write more, but I think you get the gist.
I do appreciate the culture though - at least until the commies took over.

No, the Chinese people get to pick the Chinese government. But there are two governments claiming to be "China". The original one is in Taiwan.
The west *does* get to decide which one of them we want to recognize as the "real" China. I think we have chosen poorly.
Also, China is absolutely not a "communist success story".
China was a train wreck under communism for 50 years, widespread famine was a regular occurrence, and their industrial output was a joke.
Then they started introducing some capitalist elements to their economy and suddenly they are becoming successful and developing a middle class.
If anything China is a case study on the difference between communism and capitalism.

China is an oppressive murderous regime. The only difference between them and Nazi Germany is that they haven't started invading their neighbors en mass. Yet.
They have as many people in concentration camps today as Hitler did. Hitler just couldn't farm them for organs the way Xi is because he didn't have the technical ability.
The Chinese people have my sympathy. Especially the ones living in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The Chinese government deserves every bit of contempt you can direct at them.

There *are* absolutes of good and evil that transcend culture and values. If you allow the sort of moral relativism you are suggesting, then you cannot hold anyone responsible for anything, no matter how evil.

If that's their culture, then it is an evil culture and should be eradicated because it is incompatible with everything decent and good.
Mainland China doesn't have foreign powers with their own self-interests propping it up. Taiwan is our puppet. There were famines in China before communists PLUS OPIUM forced on them by sleazy capitalist democracies. China turned the corner under Communist rule using good work ethics and family values. Their mistrust of the Westerners saved them from the same fate as Soviet Union.

I made myself the Czar of Freedom. Its pretty simple really, putting individual liberty above the needs of the state kinda says it all. Perhaps some people like their governments to tell them what jobs they can have, how much money they can make, how many kids they're allowed to have, what religion they can practice, and what other personal freedoms they're allowed to use from time to time. Just ask the Uyghurs, as I hear its working out great for them, or how about the slave labor camps, Im sure they will all agree that the CCP is a success story.
If you call the ideology of maximum individual liberty (the core principles this country was founded upon) brainwashed, then I would have to counter that by saying you are brainwashed to believe you deserve any less.

Look, you can play your "well, communism isn't so bad" schtick all you want, but the bottom line is that it's incompatible with liberty and western values.
One of us has to go, and whichever one is left will write the history books and the other will be demonized.
So, I vote for liberty over slavery. That means the communists are evil and must be eradicated from the world, and our children must be warned about the evils of their ideology from now until the end of time.
Look at their numbers, hardly a case of populations shrinkage. Nothing compared to the Civil War the west is trying hard to unleash there.

Too many in the US want to believe that we as a nation do so much right and other nations so wrong.
I do not have much empathy or sympathy for those incarcerated in China, I do not know them, I do not know there crimes or their judicial system.
I do not believe what I see on the news in regards to China. The MSM lies each and every moment of the day.
Someone mentioned the spying, we here in the US do it as well. China is doing well selling their wares and garbage because Americans are obsessed with cheap shit. Not china's fault. Not China's fault that the US worker is very greedy and believes he is due top wage for little work.

The evils of British Empire and American mega-Capitalists could not be undone by holding townhall meetings and peaceful protests no more than French Revolution could have happened without guillotines and yet French people hold high leaders like Maximilian Robespierre and forgive him the the loss of the entire class of people, writing it off as realities of the time period, just as we do with slavery. What we have here are double standards. When this happened in France, it's footnoted as c'est la vie, but in China and Russia, it's the work of evil dictators doing evil things. People will forgive excesses, but people will never forgive leaders who sell out their country.
