Your last post is far to grand for me. When I get home, I will post the model. It is a few years old and I get a really good deal from them. I am a simple guy, unless the world collapses, I will not be going back into serious combat. All of the lights that I own, weapons mounted or handhelds do exactly what I need them to do.

I am not all fancy, especially for lights. I know there are many hear that really get into all of that. Just like ballistics, none of that really tickles my fancy. My lights are far bright enough to light up all areas that I need them to do.

On duty, the lights I carry and mount are far more than adequate. I do not need to light up a football field or an entire 25,000 square foot building.

I continue to read in some of the other posts about the light industry, interesting enough, just not my bag.

I checked them out and I don’t see a whole lot there that hasn’t already been in the market from other companies already. What it does seem like an updated version from their older mounts which weren’t as robust. Which is a nice update but nothing revolutionary from what I can tell. I’d probably still choose an Arisaka mount over it.

I always go with Arisaka. No matter the application they have a mount for it.

So everything looks identical between the 2.0 vs the 3.0 except the head. The lugs line up exactly with each other and are the same distance from the rear on both. The lugs are also the same size, they just look different due to one being turned more than the other. The 3.0 head is just slightly larger. Width and length but not by much. The first picture I lined up the rear of the light exactly in line with the other, looks off center because I was purposely showing the heads of the two and how they compare with the rears in-line with each other.

Haha, I’ve been a little busy with Christmas and working. Didn’t get a chance to take it outside yet…as much as I wanted to compare. That’ll happen soon enough hopefully. I do have a quick comparison from inside the other night. It’s always tricky getting lighting on video but the cameras automatically adjusting all the time. But it gives you a brief idea.

It’s nice. It’s pretty much a higher output 2.0. It doesn’t sacrifice spill/flood for candela. You get increased spill and throw.

Not like the Modlite with their OKW which decreased its lumens down to 680 when they increased the candela to 69k when comparing it to their PLHv2 which has 1,350 lumens and 54k candela.

The REIN 2.0 has 1,100 lumens and 71k candela where the 3.0 bumps both up to 1,250 lumens and 100k candela.

The 3.0 heads are interchangeable with 1.0 and 2.0 as long as you have the updated dual spring push button tailcap. They changed the tailcap springs a while ago back in July 2021 and most will already have the newer version.
