HIs best point, imho, is that the progressives don't want reminders that no matter how progressive they are, they can't change the fact that they can't eliminated evil. Also the part about not wanting armed guards or metal detectors because they're a visual representation that we don't live in a Utopia.
What they don't realize, or can't admit, is that eliminating evil means eliminating good, free will.
