Coming into some money soon, help me spend it.

So this thread is mostly for fun as I'm almost postive on what I"ll be spending it on, however......... for funs sake:
I have about 3k that was bequest to me in the form of 401k funds form my late father that were just discovered. I'm probably gonna spend it on a sick Nightforce 1-8 scope and mount for my AR but I was thinking this might also be an opportunity to get a really nice .308 semi auto (I really like the Galil Ace 308) or I've always wanted a Benelli M4 or I could get a really nice range toy handgun like a nice S&W 686 or CZ Tactical Sport Orange or the CZ SDP(which could also be a high end carry gun) or a nice 10mm 1911.
Its prolly gonna be the scope because I've been meaning to get that Daniel Defense of mine scoped for years now and this is a prime opportunity to finally do so.......... but there are just so many toys!! What would y'all do. Vote and make alternative suggestions. Or go get pissed off in the political threads.

PS For those that may not know I live in PA so unSAFE act bullshit don't apply.

I have other things going on, other savings and funds. I'm maxing my own 401k contribution. Wanna use this to scratch an itch I wasn't gonna be able to otherwise.

Well, no offence, but I wouldn't spend it on optics. Out of the options you listed, I'd get myself a nice 686 plus all the accessories and a truck dog.

Truck dog is a good suggestion. But I could restart my ammo comparisons with the scope. Using a red dot didn't exactly lead to very conclusive data.

Yeah I'm with BB on this one. I'd drop that kinda cash on a laptop. Realistically you could go 1500 on laptop 1500 on scope and they'd both be pretty badass.

Don't go with that! Computer tech changes so often that what you buy will be obsolete almost as soon as you buy it. It won't be something you can hand down to a child or someone else. In six years your gaming laptop will be nothing more than a boat anchor...however your 686 will still be relevant. You truck dog will have given you plenty of great companionship with many more years to go. Take it from a guy who sold his 93 firebird formula for a 4k workstation that is now so far obsolete. The car I sold to pay for it is probably still running and is worth a whole lot more.

Yeah I would never drop that kinda cash on a laptop. Laptops go obsolete much quicker than desktops so.

If I do the fake support dog registry truck dog won't cost me all that much up front. More a matter of not being 101% sure I can take care of a dog properly on the road, specifically if I want to sacrifice the extra hours out of my day.
