Also keep in mind many stores have just said hey could you not open carry please. What’s that mean? I take it as expressed consent to carry concealed there, jut not open carry right? The whole "
person knows or reasonably should know that the owner or lessee of such
property has not permitted such possession" seems like another huge bypass to this.
Who in their right (reasonable) mind could possibly make any sense of this, much less know an owners intentions?
If I'm in, say, a gun store or plethora of other locations, I would never reasonably know that they did not permit carry.
Isn’t that what the bail reform people are doing too-lolUntil there are consequences for violating the constitution they will continue to do it at will.
Imagine if other laws were treated like this ?
"OK, you've been convicted of robbing the bank, as punishment you'll have to give back the money you took. That is all"
It wouldn’t fly. Someone would say a gun is against their religion and sue for discrimination.Your store your rules.
What religion bans guns? Quaker’s? I’m allowed to violate someone’s religious rights on my property, but the government can’t violate mine. I can tell you if you’re not a Christian you can’t enter my store. There are Christian book stores and if a Muslim comes in there trying to convert their customers they can be asked to leave legally. It wouldn’t fly. Actually you can’t. You can’t discriminate as a business owner based on race, religion, creed, etc. What religion bans guns? Quaker’s? Hahahaha Dude...Yeah, well fuck you too. All I did was post a fucking picture of a fucking sign and glad the owner was on our side. Do you really think I would have returned to my car if there was no sign. I agree with what you said.
This is worth following. It was much easier when a member here ( I believe now a former member) had the thread. I honestly miss that thread and that members input.MSN

I know where you can get some!Be a shame if people just started bringing their own stickers...
Roger that brother, I will not be a subject of tyrants and allow my safety to be compromised. P.S. where is the ACLU on this one? Nowhere to be found I’m sure.Yeah? Sorry, but fuck you! You or the State don't "ALLOW" me to exercise my RIGHTS!
What utter bullshit!
Yeah, it's nice they want to play, but the State would have NO Standing to prosecute anyone for carrying within the establishment absent the fucking stupid retarded infantile sign! I think they should make it even smaller with extreme fine print unlegible except by getting down on ones knees to read it! At least then you'll be in the genuflected position to kiss the States ass! Or maybe they could kiss yours.
Not fucking complying with this one bit, let the chips fall where they may! But I'm NOT going in public absent the ability to defend myself, let alone these days! And especially in New York, home of the Wild East!
Explain the baker being able to refuse to bake cakes for gay people then? It’s a bit different but on the same lines. Also why is the government allowed to do it then? There are special services dedicated to people of certain backgrounds. In NYS if I file a complaint against a protected class of person it goes right to the governors office and bypasses all normal chain of command. They can’t have it both ways yet they do.Actually you can’t. You can’t discriminate as a business owner based on race, religion, creed, etc.
The Muslim who comes in to “ convert” people can be kicked out on that behavior but if a Muslim walks in to buy a Bible, no you can’t kick them out just for being a Muslim.
I’m with you on this and that’s what the felony charge in this bill s meant to do. I hate giving them what they want but I need to be careful. On top of losing my guns and all that goes with them I would lose my job, my insurance and my retirement. While I agree, but I also disagree. I like to stay a law abiding citizen.
Yes, for AR rifles, things that stay at home in a gun safe or cabinet, that is one thing. I know of many people who have non compliant ARs, some of which still have no clue that they are non compliant.
However, with a pistol that is carried by a person (yes concealed in this case), is a whole different story. I for one don't want to become a felon or lose my hard-worked pistol permit, because some NYSP officer had "probably cause" to frisk me during a traffic stop even if I didn't do anything wrong. To me, losing my job, losing my money, my roof over my head, food, etc, is just not worth it.
Go ahead, if you want to, do it. More power to you.
Easy. He won his case because he offered to sell them a cake but refused to add their message. That’s the difference.Explain the baker being able to refuse to bake cakes for gay people then? And your right to vote. That too falls in their favor assuming you’re not a democrat.I’m with you on this and that’s what the felony charge in this bill s meant to do. So did the guy loose his butt cherry?brought to you by a trespasser LOL ..
So what you’re telling us is the guy does not have a problem with lawful cc and also has no problem with his workers calling the cops potentially ruining a honest persons life. I could no longer support his business and would encourage others to do the same.I just asked a local place and he said no he won’t be. He said he has workers who would appreciate it. He said he doesn’t care and won’t bother anyone if he see them carrying but a few workers definitely would call the police.
That’s what he said. It’s a family business so I’m guessing it’s a family member who would call the police. I agree it’s BS, but if I stop buying from all the businesses that think like this or don’t have a sign up I’m not buying anything. I’ll do my best to work with companies that support our rights but there is only so much I can do.So what you’re telling us is the guy does not have a problem with lawful cc and also has no problem with his workers calling the cops potentially ruining a honest persons life. But in the same token, if you continue to patronize businesses that do not support your view than aren't you, by default, supporting those who contradict your own values? That’s what he said. I can emphasize with you there and being it a family operation l would perhaps cut the guy some slack but I would ask him to reconsider. If he is the boss then the decision should be his alone. That’s what he said. It’s a family business so I’m guessing it’s a family member who would call the police. Well there already is church down in PA called “the world peace and unification sanctuary” church that has guns as part of their religionSo, here in SC, the state recognizes that they have to provide services to ALL who claim a religious exemption. Specifically, I am referring to when I went to get my SC drivers license.
Employees at the SC DMV told me that they are required by Federal Law prohibiting discrimination against ANY and ALL persons in the wearing of religious headgear. No matter how ridiculous they believe that "religion" to be!
I, for example, am now a member in good standing of the Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster. Although some out there will claim it is not a valid religion, others argue that it is as valid as any of the others! It may not be as old as some of the others, but it is a religion nevertheless. Their official religious headgear is a spaghetti colander. And now my SC Driver's License, as well as my SC Concealed Weapon Permit picture has me proudly wearing it!
That makes me wonder: Why don't we start a new religion, - just like the guys who started the Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster? Our religious dress could include carrying a licensed firearm.
I would think that the laws against businesses discriminating on the basis of religious beliefs would then apply.
Possible names could be:
1. The Church of Stop Hochul's Insane Tyranny (SHIT)
2. The Church of Shove it up Hochul's Ass Today (SHAT)
or?
Please clarify this for me. Where is it stated that you cannot carry in your own car ? Unless you’re driving thru Times Square l can see it otherwise l can’t.While I agree, but I also disagree. I like to stay a law abiding citizen.
