The whole "

Who in their right (reasonable) mind could possibly make any sense of this, much less know an owners intentions?

If I'm in, say, a gun store or plethora of other locations, I would never reasonably know that they did not permit carry.

Also keep in mind many stores have just said hey could you not open carry please. What’s that mean? I take it as expressed consent to carry concealed there, jut not open carry right?

My wife is a part timer hairdresser and Im absolutely shocked her salon will be putting up carry concealed signs. During the Covid scare the liberals she works with kept mandates in place long after they were cancelled by our governor. My wife is the only one out of ten that has a carry permit.

So, here in SC, the state recognizes that they have to provide services to ALL who claim a religious exemption. Specifically, I am referring to when I went to get my SC drivers license.

Employees at the SC DMV told me that they are required by Federal Law prohibiting discrimination against ANY and ALL persons in the wearing of religious headgear. No matter how ridiculous they believe that "religion" to be!

I, for example, am now a member in good standing of the Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster. Although some out there will claim it is not a valid religion, others argue that it is as valid as any of the others! It may not be as old as some of the others, but it is a religion nevertheless. Their official religious headgear is a spaghetti colander. And now my SC Driver's License, as well as my SC Concealed Weapon Permit picture has me proudly wearing it!

That makes me wonder: Why don't we start a new religion, - just like the guys who started the Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster? Our religious dress could include carrying a licensed firearm.

I would think that the laws against businesses discriminating on the basis of religious beliefs would then apply.

Possible names could be:

1. The Church of Stop Hochul's Insane Tyranny (SHIT)
2. The Church of Shove it up Hochul's Ass Today (SHAT)

or?

Funny thing is the Safe Act was largely and for the most part non-complied with by NY Residents. Only those with a lot to lose had complied for obvious reasons. And that's ok... But what's not talked about much is the high probability (90%) of AR owners that didn't comply!

So why are so many nervous now? I mean it doesn't make much sense to me. Being non-compliant about a firearm that pretty much sits home in a safe, wow! But worry about complying in regard to a firearm that will provide for your safety and defense no matter where you might go... Is counter intuitive to me!

Yes, for AR rifles, things that stay at home in a gun safe or cabinet, that is one thing. I know of many people who have non compliant ARs, some of which still have no clue that they are non compliant.

However, with a pistol that is carried by a person (yes concealed in this case), is a whole different story. I for one don't want to become a felon or lose my hard-worked pistol permit, because some NYSP officer had "probably cause" to frisk me during a traffic stop even if I didn't do anything wrong. To me, losing my job, losing my money, my roof over my head, food, etc, is just not worth it.

Go ahead, if you want to, do it. More power to you.

Explain the baker being able to refuse to bake cakes for gay people then? It’s a bit different but on the same lines. Also why is the government allowed to do it then? There are special services dedicated to people of certain backgrounds. In NYS if I file a complaint against a protected class of person it goes right to the governors office and bypasses all normal chain of command. They can’t have it both ways yet they do.

I for one don't want to become a felon or lose my hard-worked pistol permit, because some NYSP officer had "probably cause" to frisk me during a traffic stop even if I didn't do anything wrong. To me, losing my job, losing my money, my roof over my head, food, etc, is just not worth it.

I just asked a local place and he said no he won’t be. He said he has workers who would appreciate it. He said he doesn’t care and won’t bother anyone if he see them carrying but a few workers definitely would call the police.

So what you’re telling us is the guy does not have a problem with lawful cc and also has no problem with his workers calling the cops potentially ruining a honest persons life. I could no longer support his business and would encourage others to do the same.

But in the same token, if you continue to patronize businesses that do not support your view than aren't you, by default, supporting those who contradict your own values?
I have made it a mission and habit to ask every retailer that I frequent if they will allow concealed carry and intend to post a sign if they will be while expressing that if they don't I will shop elsewhere. So far its borne fruit on several occasions. In this instance the retailer is aware of the the law, but many are not. Bear in mind that I tend to agree with you 85% of the time, but on this I believe you may be misguided. By no means is my intent on just being a dick with this statement, but wondering more where you would draw a line.

Please clarify this for me. Where is it stated that you cannot carry in your own car ? Unless you’re driving thru Times Square l can see it otherwise l can’t.
