I have the same opinion! The unsafe act was largely ignored and compliance scoffed at so the shooting public went about their day business as usual. Yes some people complied with the 10 rnd limit for mags but all in all we did not wimp out but instead were angered which fueled our resolve to reject the state sponsored tyranny imposed on us ! Remember the background checks we were supposed to go through to purchase ammo but died in the ass because it was never thought through? What about the federal judge who threw out the 7 rnd limit ? The point is, the government failed on these two tenets of the of that act ( and probably more, l just can t recall them now)MFunny thing is the Safe Act was largely and for the most part non-complied with by NY Residents. Only those with a lot to lose had complied for obvious reasons. And that's ok... But what's not talked about much is the high probability (90%) of AR owners that didn't comply!
So why are so many nervous now? I mean it doesn't make much sense to me. Being non-compliant about a firearm that pretty much sits home in a safe, wow! But worry about complying in regard to a firearm that will provide for your safety and defense no matter where you might go... Is counter intuitive to me!
Post here? Not worried about that either... Speech is protected too! Not worried about the big bad wolf that never comes! Not trying to convince anyone if anything, or to do anything... Just sounding my thoughts off into the abyss!

Now let’s look at safe act convictions . Not really that many and the ones that were reported usually involved another crime that was committed - the safe act charge was added to it .
Another example is stupidity, like someone peddling fully featured AR 15 s to an undercover cop. So what I’m getting at is that inspite of such an assault on our liberty we can still live relatively free. Yes we have to be extra careful but tell me the last time someone noticed your gun printing in public and brought it to the attention of someone else? you would know by the way they behave around you if they had an issue with it!
Now let’s consider this new plate of UNCONSTITUTIONAL SHIT that this whore put in front of us and how the reaction to it differs.
Remember last time ( unsafe act) the ammo background checks were ignored universally?
Well the Bass pro store near me has apparently been intimidated because they have roped off the ammo isle and you have to ask an “associate “ to get it for you , then they walk you up to the cash registers like they do for firearms.
The background checks are not coming into effect for another year and hopefully not at all! So what has brought about this fear? The social conditioning of and unchallenged compliance of unconstitutional controls on our freedom and liberty during the China virus fiasco? I think this may be a big part of the problem.
I am livid about what has happened to us by this communist state regime as they have legislated against the most law abiding segment of society- pistol Permit holders! I do however believe we will prevail in the courts , but in the meantime I will do what l believe right for the safety of myself and those l care for and take solace in the fact that we have the backing of the 2nd amendment of the Bill of rights and the opinion of the Supreme Court of theUSA .
