Yup there ya have it! That's the whole reason behind the 19X and the G45! G45 was more in line with LEO & Agency's that require a "Black" service pistol! It is crazy how many people look down on the design but if you shoot it and handle one they really feel good and the whole ideal/package makes perfect sense! I'm pretty sure I will be getting a G45 in the near future!

I see all this speculation here, based on things from various websites, about what is and isn't a Glock 47. Who actually has factual knowledge supported by the specs of this so called Glock 47? I know one thing, it sure as heck is not the Glock website - at least not as I type.

Bottom line the 47 is a solution to an administrative requirement. There is no functional improvement relative to existing models.

Easy fix for anyone that wants one.. get a G45 and throw a G17 lenght slide and barrel on it

So they eliminate the Notch on the bottom front but add them ridiculous Magazine lips?

So they had left over parts/grips frames from 45’s. Added a small laser cut from a 1 to a 4 ( i imagine the small cut to add the half triangle from 1 to a 4 was cheap in house) and the 17 MOS slides are now magically a 47.

Hmm nice. I agree with most here to leave it a full dust cover 17 frame as they will be in sandy environments.

I only have two glocks myself. One in my carry rotation. One on nightstand duty.

But looking for a general purpose. Shit hit the fan, 9mm Glick. my debate between buying a 19X or the 45 has it me. They should make the 45 with a 19 MOS slide. But theres something about the diarrhea brown that intrigues me
