My point. Add the Plate carrier and armor(?) to that and what did they expect was going to happen? I'm not sure about carrying a long gun in plain view into a police station being legal. It certainly isn't smart the way these two did it.Don't much care about their actions, assuming they were in fact legal, but why the theatrics of ski masks and such?
Carrying guns, wearing, ski masks, and walking into a police station sounds more like suicide by cop.Don't much care about their actions, assuming they were in fact legal, but why the theatrics of ski masks and such?
I would, no questions asked, were that legal here.Carrying guns, wearing, ski masks, and walking into a police station sounds more like suicide by cop.
I agree thats not a second amendment issue. If you want to promote OC, then you must do every day things while carrying, but within reason. Im not going to carry a rifle on my shoulder while going food shopping.
I hear ya, and i wouldnt fault you for it. I couldnt see myself doing it. I prefer to cc. But ill admit, i could be happy living in a world where EVERYONE OCd.I would, no questions asked, were that legal here.
But I wouldn't put on a ski mask and go to a cop shop with armor on. That has nothing to do with OC.
I prefer to CC too, but I hate when people (not you, long running pet peeve) on the "pro gun" side bash their fellow pro gun people for standing up for their rights because "that particular act might scare people."I hear ya, and i wouldnt fault you for it. I couldnt see myself doing it. I prefer to cc. But ill admit, i could be happy living in a world where EVERYONE OCd.
These guys put their money where their mouth is, and do it in front of a cop unlike some here.Don't much care about their actions, assuming they were in fact legal, but why the theatrics of ski masks and such?
OC of long guns is indeed legal in NYS. There is no law preventing it unlike for pistols.I would, no questions asked, were that legal here.
But I wouldn't put on a ski mask and go to a cop shop with armor on. That has nothing to do with OC.
Hence the issue I have. These guys put their money where their mouth is, and do it in front of a cop unlike some here.
Maybe...Hence the issue I have.
Is the new trope going to have to be "Do it in front of a cop with a ski mask on wearing body armor with a rifle at the ready?"

Hell no! Might be a cop around! So @Darth... Will you be posting a video on your channel of you open carrying a rifle in Wal-Mart?
What if they disagree with you removing their arms for no reason?I love the Second Amendment and all that goes with it.
If I were to be working the lobby at work and these two "advocates" walked in, dressed the way they were; i would have reacted very similar. I would have kept it a bit more professional than the police at that station did. But I promise you, I will remove the guns from their person and place them in cuffs.
This is not an Open Carry video. This is a video of two idiots wanting to make an outrageous video. They got what they wanted.
What if they disagree with you removing their arms for no reason?
But apparently they broke no laws.I will make them understand that at that moment, I am correct and they are not. More than likely, there would be no charges unless they decided to escalate the situation.
I don't have the power to ruin lives because of my feelings, so back to the topic at hand please.Darth, very serious question. If you were out and about somewhere and two men, dressed this way, were to enter the area you were in, would you be on high alert or would you think, just a couple of guys exercising their rights?
I do jot know the laws of their state. Just because they say no laws were broken does not make it so. They were charged with crimes, any idea what those charges were? But apparently they broke no laws.
So, what does "make them understand" mean, in your own words?
It is topic on hand. Just because someone is a cop does not mean they turn everything off. You think the actions of these two were of the norm? No worries at all?I don't have the power to ruin lives because of my feelings, so back to the topic at hand please.
Why not? Sometimes you need to whip the old people with your stock. The struggle is real.Carrying guns, wearing, ski masks, and walking into a police station sounds more like suicide by cop.
I agree thats not a second amendment issue. If you want to promote OC, then you must do every day things while carrying, but within reason. Im not going to carry a rifle on my shoulder while going food shopping.
I also don't have the power to make up laws on the fly. "Officer safety" and "disturbing the peace" don't work for me.I do jot know the laws of their state. Just because they say no laws were broken does not make it so. They were charged with crimes, any idea what those charges were?
But apparently they broke no laws.
So, what does "make them understand" mean, in your own words?
For not breaking any laws? But simply making you uncomfortable?I have a few skills that I would employ to make sure they understand that I was in charge of the situation and that they will comply with my requests.
