Denied entrance to True value

This morning I was denied entrance to True value hardware for not wearing a mask, I told the manager I had Asthma and my doctor told me I did not have to wear one. I explanined that it was not the law and he agreed and said it was store policy and that he would not let me enter.

Waiting to hear back from my lawyer . What do you think?

Store policy. You have to follow their rules if you want to play in their clubhouse. There is no legal issue here.

It's a private business, they can enforce any policies they want. You don't have to agree with them, but it is their right. Best bet is shop somewhere else, or be prepared to wear a mask. The mask policy will soon be at every or most businesses, partially because they don't want the liability if someone is exposed.

It is their store ... and they have set their policy... but I think there is a precident where you may have a rock solid case, if you were buying supplies for a gay wedding.

A losing argument to try and tell a private business how they should operate. You have a choice to participate, or seek you wears elsewhere! The guy was obviously through this narative before as his retort to you proclamation was spot on! Yes, it's not law, but our policy, so please leave, lol.

The most amazing thing I find from this new advent of policy trumping law, is that if businesses were to deny access for say a person's hair, think Rasta... It would be discriminatory! Lol

Don't forget, there is plenty of precedent on how "Public Safety" allows all rules and laws to be thrown to the curb. So your shouting would be akin to standing at the rim of the Grand Canyon and screaming your head off!

I do not wear a mask in public... I maintain social distancing as is suggested...

I do not wear a mask... I maintain social distancing as directed...

Yes I thought that was understood...but I guess there are some who don't know. I wear a mask even if outside the 6 foot circle. It doesn't hurt and it may help. At My age...I don't need "one mistake" Been in SEA and supported all the dessert wars,panama,911 and don't want to get killed in My own Country. Death is inevitable...but why help the speed at which it comes.

Why does everyone ignore the fact that COVID 19 is not that deadly of a virus.

In the county that I live in. There are 2 people in the hospital due to COVID 19.
Out of a population of 57,000 people. The math doesn't add up.
