Hell, we share the same toilet!
At the same time.
We just aren't hypocrites towards one another. When he's right, he's right and I'll have his backside. I mean back.I didn't know you guys were roomies sharing the same bathroom mirror
New career?Ahhhh so you have been practicing for your new career huh?
Panties, color me suprised, I would have bet you usually went commando. I would love to see you on Cops - Live ..... "Officer, I feel I should inform you I have a carry license and I am traveling commando".Yeah, why not? I even tell them what color panties I'm wearing. No extra charge.
I prefer pantyhose, but the cops are coy on that, so I have to lay low:Panties, color me suprised, I would have bet you usually went commando. It would love to see a Cops - Live ..... "Officer, I feel I should inform you I have a carry license and I am traveling commando".
New career?
World's biggest Jimmie Johnson fan?
You're babbling.
I have a new career!?Yea new career, sharing a toilet in a prison
I have a new career!?
Who are you!? Don't ever reply to me again!

while I agree with you there are many things that could come up that could cause your gun to be discovered while carrying outside restrictions. You could need your firearm for self defense, car accidents in parking lots, medical emergencies. Now I'm not saying don't carry your gun I'm just saying it's not impossible for something to come up. I carry where my little piece of paper says I can't so I'm with you.I understand that but concealed is concealed. You do that properly without printing and don't commit any crimes and you'll never get caught unless you have a heart attack.

Notice the words "should" the legal meaning is not mandatory. If they used the word "will" then it would be mandatory. I would not worry about it at all. Should does not mean shall or will, it is optional....or at least to Nassau County. I am saying so because in the latest version of the Nassau County Police Department's Pistol License Section Handbook (handbook) this italicized notation is found as the its last entry:
I do not recall ever seeing that in earlier versions of the handbook. I realize that saying one 'should' do something is not a legal requirement. My bet is though that in the next version or two of the handbook, it will say 'must' or 'shall' notify. It is just the way of the current level of abuse of our rights that is continually taking place in NY.
At that point you inform. Whenever asked to step out of the vehicle, something is wrong. You inform. Otherwise, you just give the cop what he asked for (license and registration) and accept your ticket.Wh

That 10 percent that feels you shouldn't be armed and what they'll put you through is not worth getting out of a ticket for me. I want to go home safe. You can do what you want, I will do all that I can to get out of a ticket. (Pretend for a moment that I do not have a badge). If showing a bit of due, mutual respect, is overboard, than so be it.
You gonna make a big deal when this becomes the norm all over the State, that is, all cops knowing who is potentially armed? The day is coming very, very quick that all information will be in each and every car. Like I said, most agencies already have the knowledge.
When asked by the traffic cop, you gonna keep it to yourself?

I don't know because I don't inform. There are numerous that have however. That's enough for me. I posted numerous examples in another thread.Have you personally had a run in with this 10%? Just curious?
One is being compelled by the government to give information to the government without due process. How is being required to inform an officer, who is probably on edge everytime he pulls a car over, that you are carrying a firearm an infringement on your rights?I would think anything you can do to put an officer making a traffic stop at ease would go a long way to helping you getting a break.
Whether or not I decide to let them know I am armed is or should be up to me not to the government. In most cases, I let them know I am armed. It is not informing them that bothers me if I choose to inform, it would be being compelled by the government to do yet another thing to bow to them that disturbs me. The government consists of the servants of the people but somehow we are being turned more and more into the puppets of politicians.I guess I am trying to understand what the big deal is here. I always used to inform, never once did it escalate into something.
I get/got pulled over a lot, never once was it an issue.
I thought now that information is connected to your drivers license the amendments make you include your drivers license number
