Easy-to-Use Scope for 10/22

I hate with scopes. (Except for the part where they actually let me hit the target.) I don't understand how they work, other than they let me shoot something far away, and I have no desire to find out how they work, lol. I don't want to know how to adjust them; I want someone else to do it for me. I don't care if I ever understand fully what MOA means.

You get the idea.

So... what scope would you recommend for a 10/22? Something easy to use and install (and I may even ask someone else to install it for me). Something that's going to stay accurate, so I don't have to mess with it.

I have a cheapie Bushnell Banner 3x9 on mine, works okay. I mounted it on an also cheap UTG Pic rail segment and medium height rings. Though not fancy the setup works and has remained solid for years now. I think I could have gotten away with low rings.

Ghost ring/Peep type sights, low profile, simple, rugged... lots of options. A fiber optic front and a variable aperture adjustable rear would be ideal:

Otherwise a 2x7 Vortex or Leupold -rimfire- scope will be great. Other brands are also good but those are sure bets.... You want a rimfire specific design that is set up to shoot at closer ranges than a centerfire scope. Or a more expensive AO (focusing) scope.

I think a 3-9x40 is too big and heavy for a 22, Look into a 2-7x32.
it is smaller and lighter!

I have a Nikon Rimfire 3x9-40 on my 10/22. Awesome, not too expensive(especially if you catch it on sale), and accurate. I set it at 50yds, and it hits home every time. I wound up putting nikon glass on all my rifles and haven't been dissappointed yet.

I've got a cheapie Ruger branded 4x scope on one of mine. If I were to replace it, I'd probably get a Nikon P-22 2x7.

MOA means Mother of Agnes, I think its a religious exclamation. There thats settled, so if you insist on getting a scope, and don't like effing around with them, I know what you mean, then find a fixed power one 3X or 4X. Do a search at Shop Over 300,000 Products For Your Passion & Profession If its made, they probably list it, when you find one you like shop around, they aren't always the best price.

I have a pair of Nikon EFR Target 3-9x40 on 2 of my 22's there are very popular at my Club. They run about $189.00 may catch a sale I got one for $144.00 from Optics Planet. Also have a few Tasco's and Center Points that are not to bad for the price!

I cast another vote of Nikon 3-9x40 Prostaff Rimfire. I own A Nikon camera as well. I've spent way more in lenses than rifles.

Did you buy it? They'll likely mount and boresight it for you too. Then you just need to hone in the last few inches. Good scope for the money.

I ended up getting the Crossfire. I really liked the Nikon, but (as usual) price point is a big consideration. Since the .22 is just for plinking, I figured I'd save a little on the scope and put the difference toward some kind of sights/scope for the evil black build.

Based on your requirements I think the pride and fowler is a great scope for you
because it comes with a 22LR ballistics stadia in the first focal plane.
In other words, select the range you are shooting and pull the trigger so
will never have to touch the turrets an any distance.

You still need to zero the scope and work a bit with the stadia but because of the 1st focal plane it doesn't matter
what magnification you are at, the scope will always provide the right estimation. You cannot do this with the 2nd
focal plane scopes above where the estimation only works a one predetermined magnification. It also has the paralax
adjustment that is nice to have.
