Strange they don't if u ask me.Wish they had them assembled on a rifle so we can actually see it.
not sure about that if you look at the angle once installed when you shoulder it it changes angleI like the flat bottom for better bench rest or varmint shooting.
Looks like I'm the guinea pig.
One of many optionsSo it's basically a cheaper Thordsen?
FUAC
It seems to me the common aspect with the Thordson and this stock are that the grip and the stock are the same piece. The grip being angled back in to resemble the lines of a classic rifle stock and to probably erase doubt that it could be a "pistol" grip. Why hasn't anyone just made a stock like this that acually uses a pistol grip but has an integral skeletonized extension that runs from the bottom of the grip and bends up 90 degrees into a buttstock. If it's all one piece (the stock and grip), then you should be good to go.
Similar to this if you can imagine it on an AR. Still looks wrong, but might just look better since in keeping the pistol grip on the AR, it would be following the original look of the gun more.
That is similiar to what I'm talking about. If you cut away the inside of that stock and had a space between the buffer tube and the butt plate. Sorry for my crappy image edit, but its the best I can do on my phone, but I think you can get the idea.I was just about to post something I found when looking for a picture of the Tac Fire. Seems like a no go though.

I get the concern about strength. It could be constructed with a steel spine molded in from the back of the pistol grip all the way up to the butt stock. It wouldn't be a thumb hole stock since there is the space between the end of the buffer and the butt stock (like the Thordson).Unless you made that out of titanium (which would make it uber expensive) I don't think it would be strong enough. It would also be pushing the envelope on a thumb stock. But nothing has been put to the test so who knows?

Hey all,
I found this thread and forum after purchasing the TacFire stock. I registered so I could post a picture of my unfinished build so you guys can get a better idea of what the stock looks likes.
This is just a mockup of all the parts. The lower is a Polymer 80 that has not been finished and I plan to cut about 1.5" off the 18" barrel to get rid of the threads and make it more visually appealing. Being my first ever AR build, I don't even own any mags yet, so I put the lower vice block in for the picture.
The stock feels extremely sturdy and well made and has a storage compartment in the grip (bottom plate pops off). Since the lower isn't complete I can't get a good feel of where I'll need to grip to reach the trigger, but it seems like I'll need to place my hand pretty far up the grip (pinky between bottom two stipplings). This causes my middle finger to press against the grip screw opening that has some sharp edges. That seems to be my only complaint so far. It might be a little short for some people.
I personally like the look of this better than the Thorsden. The combo deal with the buffer parts and LPK was just too good for me to pass up.
Like I said, this is my first built and I'm trying not to spend too much money in the process. So far I've probably spent around $450 and the only things I need now are mags and ammo.
Comments and criticisms welcome.

Don't care for the Transgender look!
Put a rope on it and hook Salmon with it, no great lose if it gets snagged below
