Numbers went up post Sandy Hook because people got things taken away from them. They thought that the NRA would definitely do something because the crimes committed against us were so harsh.The NRA did nothing after that.

in my opinion, Mr. Norman is going to lose at SCOTUS. Because in Heller the SCOTUS clearly states that the 2A is not absolute. That the states can regulate firearms in their state.

Although it's great that Norman is trying to take one for the team, he's going to lose.

The 2A HAS to apply outside the home. One way or another, either open or concealed.

Yes but there are already cases way ahead of this! The Kolbe case is about magazine capacity.

I pray everyday that SCOTUS takes Kolbe but it looks likely that they will punt like with every other case. Honestly Kolbe is one of the most horrendous decisions I've even seen. It would be a cake walk to overturn it but SCOTUS doesn't seem to care about the 2A. Only abortion and gays.

Kolbe isn't just about magazine capacity. It's also about Maryland's "assault weapons" ban. The two Constitutional issues in Kolbe are (1) define "in common use" as was stated in Heller, and (2) define the appropriate level of scrutiny which much be applied to Second Amendment cases.

Even though these issues are ripe, I don't think SCOTUS has the appetite for 2A issues right now. They made that pretty clear when they passed on Peruta.

This. Kolbe is the PERFECT case to take to SCOTUS and the decision is literally laughable. Unfortunately the SCOTUS doesn't give two craps about enurmated Constitutional rights, only abortion and gays.
