It is not an artificial attachment which enhances function, the magazine is a primary component and essential function of the "semi-automatic" firearm, be it handgun or rifle. There is no way any regulatory implementation of banning or control of magazines will be accepted by the SCOTUS. It would be a grievous sidestep of the legislative branch!

I look at things with a combat mindset. There is no way in hell that I'm going to jail over a principle. If I do, not only would I suffer in jail but my family doesn't eat or have a roof over their heads. The mission is over.

If you don't fight, they win. What makes you think there will suddenly be no more laws? As long as they are winning, they will keep oppressing everyone.
If you fight and lose, there is still hope.
1) you might take some of them with you, thus lessening the fight for others
2) you make more people AWARE of the fight, thus potentially recruiting more people to your 'side'
