The Tier 5 will fit any milspec lower.

Those are ambi lowers with modified bolt catches already. The aero uses the pdq ambi bolt release and the sst-15 has their own design. Maybe once I figure out which I'm using I'll find out if it will work.

In that case, I don't know. I've never worked with that kind of lower. I guess if you were handy enough, you can make your own. All it really is is a standard bolt release with a hole drilled to the bottom of it, and a spring inserted into the hole to keep it in the open position.

I guess that makes sense. Just put it under spring tension simple idea. I could absolutely do that myself too.

I looked at the tier 5 and saw that but it didn't click that it was such a simple idea until you just said that. Lol. I think I'm going to be asleep on my shift tonight.

If anyone buys this, remember to remove the existing spring and plunger when you remove your old bolt release or else it'll counteract the spring that keeps the Tier 5 working.

I don't think so since a belt can always be readily restored or converted to have more than 10 rounds by just adding another link to either end of the belt.

Willjr75, Another option, and the one I use because of its simplicity and ease of use, while retaining semi-auto functioning and fixed mag legality, is the AR MagLock, installation of the device converts to a fixed mag definition (whereby you must "disassemble " the firearm to drop the mag.)
In reality, all the "disassembly" is quickly accomplished by pulling the rear takedown pin outward and tilting the upper a small distance to let the mag release function and effectively eject the mag. Then you push the pin back in and pop a fresh mag in...

This video doesn't mention NY, but the NYSP Troop B gun unit has weighed in and will not prosecute this as a Per Se criminal offense...
While its expensive for what it is, the peace of mind of retaining a fully featured AR platform and keep the statists at bay is worth every single penny in my mind...

Yep. Fixed magazines are for toys. Having one on a serious working gun is ridiculous and even dangerous. No one here would fix a magazine on a carry pistol would they?

Those are your best options. Thordsen stock works too. Also SKS and Garand are decent options also. Particularly the Garand. fastest reload out there.

If I didn't have a spare (old one) one already, I would like the new Thordsen model. Still sucks but looks a lot better than the old model.

I think the thing that annoys me the most about unsafe is the muzzle device thing. My AR is undoubtedly a lot louder than it needs to be. Not that it's a quiet gun the first place but wtf does a muzzle device do that kills babies and elephants. Retards.

I have an M1A with a muzzle compliant devise from LRB. It's basically a closed up flash hider. Now my M1A is far less deadly. Stupid ape faced mother fucker. FUAC!!!

just put a Fortner Bolt on your AR .. FUAC .. and save some weight to be compliant .. LOL ..

if a DA can pop your pins and drop the mag in court then it can accept another mag . BAD .. no gunsmith needed to remove it .. popping the pins is a normal every day thing no smith needed ..

if you want all the stuff .. fix the mag .. get a side loader .. mean arms .. or go Fortner Bolt

or test your luck in court .. or just ZIP YOUR LIPS ..
