If she was stoned, smoking or otherwise while driving I'd be concerned. If they found a little weed in her purse as a result of a bad answer to a question I'd side with her. Was the odor of marijuana present? No different than a DWI, were open alcohol containers present? Did she reek of Jack Daniels?was the marijuana registered?
Or know the laws and carry anyway as per the 2A as many here do.

Like I said in another thread, before you had tin, you did what you had to do. Perhaps she did the same. I'm not going to judge her.
We are putting a gun charge on a pedestal because it's a gun. The same thing could have happened with a knife, taser, or a blackjack.
I understand your point about ignorance but maybe she did know. That's what I'm saying. You know like at school or the post office. We know not to do that.Tin or not in my wallet, I cannot feel bad for these people who decide to live life through ignorance.
It takes ten minutes to read some of the basic laws.
Hell, I don't even care that she is a dope head,.
I know this sounds stupid but you took an oath. Unless it was on camera or she was under arrest, discretion could be used. And what else could the officer do?I was in the same position once, one of my officers found a loaded 25 cal in a womans purse from out of state, had a permit for that state.Felt real bad,but I couldnt just ignore it.Like GOP says, its her own fault for being stupid.
An oath is an oath. Plain and simple. That's why I personally could never do the job today.Well, the problem using discretion with a gun is if you turn a blind eye and she does something stupid or gets stopped and the gun is found and another cop arrests her, she'll be sure to scream about how I let her walk away.

The Supreme Court Justices who came up with those decisions are Oath Breakers too. If they later make a decision saying that it's okay to be searched at car stops without a warrant for no reason at random will that be okay too?
How so? I'm not trying to be funny or using internet what have you. It's what is happening now. Unless you agree with those decisions that clearly infringe upon the 2A, I don't know what to tell you. I clearly don't.Ridiculous hypothetical and you know that. Making up nonsensical “what ifs” is illogical. That’s internet bs. If the Court make such a decree I’ll invent hyperdrive and travel to Alpha Centuri.
That’s how one should answer reductio ad absurdum. In the real world, we cannot make decisions based on such ridiculous supposition. You don’t make decisions at work based on whether King Kong might punch your train as it drives past him do you?
OK,I'm missing something here.In your scenario the cop who arrests him is an "oathbreaker" how?Seems to me he kept his oath. How about this one? If AR's are banned in NY even for law enforcement off duty and that's ruled constitutional by SCOTUS, will that be okay and constitutional?
Is that analogy a little better and possibly more current? If another cop arrests you afterwards will he be an oathbreaker?
