Ran into my liberal cousin today, He said he knew 4 people who had the virus. I asked how many of them died? He said none. I asked how many were in the hospital under quarantine. He said none. I asked why they let them all go home if its so deadly and likely to spread. He Said he didn't know.

I know two people who tested positive.
One is 25 y/o, healthy, fit, doing well with moderate flu like symptoms.
The other is 70 y/o with underlying health problems. He's hospitalized, on a ventilator and not doing well at all. Prognosis is grim.
Age and underlying health issues are blatantly obvious.

People already getting testy. I was in CVS today and while I was on line some woman interrupts and starts asking the cashier if they had certain items in stock asking one by one. I politely told her there was a sign in the front that said what items were out of stock. She got very offended over it and started cursing me out. I tried to diffuse it but she wasn’t having it. Wasn’t sure where it was headed but being I am carrying I simply walked away. I wasn’t going to wait for the big boyfriend to show up. I think it’s gonna get worse and we just have to prepare for what’s coming. Hopefully when this is over we are all alive and back to work and things are normal again.

Thanks for asking. We r all good. No sickness no chaos. I am gonna put the house up for sale as soon as things cool down. I known about 10 people who had coronavirus and all recovered. That’s the news nobody shares. Most people do recover. The problem is in NYC that there are so many people, the death toll is naturally going to be high. Hope everyone stays well.

Not sure yet. We’ve been wanting to move to Texas for the longest time. Looking at some jobs there now. If we can get work there we would go. If not we may move north of NYC. Either CT or northern Westchester/Putnam.

Well, if Texas doesn't work out for you and you end up staying in the area, come up to Orange. Way cheaper than Westchester or Putnam. I can make you a nice deal on a 3/2 with off street parking in quiet family neighborhood.
My selling points-- Great commuter location! Only minutes to I-84/I-87. Close to Stewart Airport. Easy access to other regional and metropolitan airports! Walk to park. Major restaurants and shopping only minutes away.

There ya go! CT is a beautiful place but why trade in one screwed up place for another thats just as bad? Tx has it's problems too but there's still a LOT of freedom loving Americans living there and with friends already you would have a built support system. IE: where to shop, live ectra.

Same here. Except Orange is cheaper. Metro North - either from Salisbury Mills or Beacon. And in the nicer weather you can take the ferry from Newburgh to Beacon.

It's not NYC; it's a 'burb.
If you are living in another 'burb, just be sensible.
If you are living in NYC - mebe you should be thinking long term, and not temporarily.

Stay in your house, stay where you are you are giving yourself into the panic that is begin spread. If you really want ot "bug out" then go find a lean-to or primitive campsite someplace and live there until this cools down.

Thanks for the advice. If you read through, I am staying put for now. I’ve changed my outlook altogether. I’m putting my house for sale ASAP, and am looking for work in Texas. If I find a job in Texas, I am high tailing it out of here. No hysteria. Just another reason to leave this hell hole.
