There we go ! Thanks for the help Mike ! This has been weird, earlier the second image was in the folder but for some reason after trying to add it to the post it came up missing. I just opened the folder separately and the image is gone. It had to have been deleted some how. I have no idea why it was allowing me to drag it over but not be in the folder lol. Must be the chat box in Team Viewer doesn't like Linux, glad I thought to open a text document so we could talk
edit....I seen you were having trouble with that folder too, I forgot to mention I have two monitors, it was on the right monitor lmao. As matter of fact as I look at that monitor, I found what happened to that image. As I dragged it over to the post it left itself on the right desktop :/
And added the handguard that's on it's way.
Thanks, Mike, getting there. Just need to order a lower parts kit, sights, optics, and a buffer assembly. Little more weird, the image was in the file the first time I tried posting them. I think the only difference was using the upload button this time did the trick. I don't think drag and drop works with my system.Haha that's funny, glad it's nothing technical or a bug.
About the AR - Looking good so far, can't wait to see the final result.
$60. I figured I couldn't go wrong, many of the handguards I seen on fleabay are Chinese junk and I've read plenty of complaints of them falling off or loosening up. There was a clamp type that I was watching if I didn't land this one though. What did you have to give for that handguard?
I built mine from scratch over the summer and here is a photo. I will *NEVER* do it again. I think there must have been about 5 or 6 spots that I call the "oh f*cking come on" spots. Usually getting a pin the way I want it or something. Next time I do this, it's "Hello Bushmaster - I would like to place an order." That having been said, here is my hand-built baby and the Bushmaster and Lefty Stag Arms that caused me zero grief putting together. LOL
You....you...you can hardly tell the difference lol
yelling "God f*cking damn it" a few times.
lol I had several of those. Had to order some "oops kits." It's not our fault though, why in the hell do they make springs so damn springy.
Well she's all done. Last of my parts came in and sitting next to my other guns she looked naked. So on went the makeup today. Went a little darker on this one.
For moles that may look, yes, it's a fixed mag

I was originally going to use the Franklin Armory mag but decided instead to save more money and no wait for it to arrive. I used one of those threaded inserts they use to bolt something to wood and a rubber washer. For the life of me I can't remember the correct name for them. And instead of using epoxy, which many people claim is too easy to reverse, I tacked it to the release bar with a mig. This is used for coyote hunting so I'd rather show an ENCON officer the weld if and when I run into one. But if SHTF, you can bet it's still pretty easy to reverse. What product did you purchase to "fix the mag" and did you use any epoxy as some believe is required?
I'm thinking of building a fixed 450 Bushmaster so the tips would be appreciated.
