If I had a good photo editing program, I’d put some comps on a barrel with that slide and see if I liked it. But don’t have a program good enough to be able to do it.
I literally tried googling that exact thing this morning after I saw how well the PMM looked on a gen 5 slide. Couldn’t find a definitive answer.
He never refers to putting Gen 5 slides onto Gen 4 frames. It would probably be cheaper to find a company to mill the front end of the Gen 4 slide to match the Gen 5 profile.
You know what’s crazy I was literally just watching a video yesterday where I can see this dudes slide cover plates pivoting while he was shooting and all I could think was “What the fuck is wrong with this dude’s gun and how is it not falling apart?!”. This is the first time I’m actually seeing this product. Pretty ingenious.
I don’t believe it was Modern Samurai Project. I just went through my YouTube history and for the life of me I can’t find the video I saw it on. But I remember thinking that dudes gun is broken. lol
I’m always looking for good spots to be able to get some good range time in where you’re able to actually move and shoot like in MSP’s videos or the plethora of other good companies videos. It’s annoying always shooting on a standard flat range where you can only shoot in one direction. I need to find the local equivalent of the Lucas Botkin range.
I’m not saying Bokin is the end all be all. He seems to have that effect on people, they usually love or hate him and he seems to be actually trying to make a difference in the firearm community. His new chameleon targets seem to be pretty nice. They do help get rid of the complacency that shooters get after seeing the same targets over and over. But I’m not able to say he’s a bad shooter. He’s pretty good. I just said I wanted his range. Looks like a giant football field sized quarry with huge berms for edges. You can shoot anyway in any direction. I enjoy watching lots of good shooters. Tu Lam/Ronin Tactics, Kyle Lamb/Viking Tactics, Travis Haley/HSP, Garett Schwindel/Kagwerks, John Lovell/Warrior Poet Society, Pat McNamara/TMACS, Aaron Cowan/Sage Dynamics...all seriously badass top notch guys. Even competition shooters like Simon “J.J.” Racaza.
Just shy of 250 yards is the furthest target I have the opportunity to shoot at a local range I’m able to go to.
Yeah, remember that one. I would have liked to have close look, shame really.
