I’ve been looking into some comps to throw onto my Glock 19. There are tons of options out there like KKM and the new Killer Innovations comp, but I think I’ve narrowed it down between the TBRCi Stubby w/ a SilencerCo barrel or the PMM Comp w/ their own PMM barrel. Does anyone on here have any experience with these? Or any other Information regarding comp’ing a 19 would be appreciated.

KKM will give you the best results for a carry/duty comp
TBRC comps are good I believe the PMM may be more effective and the killer innovations just meh I havent seen anyone run them and the design (while good) looks like crap to me

I know the true Roland Special comp is the KKM. I don’t really want the Killer Innovations comp, though it’s design is kind of cool looking. Mainly it’s between those main three PMM, TBRCi, and The KKM. I do like how the PMM is installed with the shims and is torqued down and timed. So there are no set screws to possibly come loose and the bottom half gets locked into the dust cover of the frame so if the comp does come loose it won’t come completely off.
I also want to try and make sure the comp is as flush to the slide as possible. Not like the one in picture #1 where there is a gap, but more like picture #2. Since It’ll be an EDC, I’d like to try and minimize the length of it while still have the comp on it.

I also eventually I plan on getting some slidework done as well to add some front serrations and possibly a window cut. Also putting an RMR06 on it. With the comp changing directional gas and the RMR putting additional weight on the slide, I’ve read that I would most likely have to change out the recoil spring weight to have it function correctly.

Are these legal in NY? Do they not require a threaded barrel to install?

@Packman297 Unfortunately threaded barrels on semiautomatic pistols are illegal for civilians to have, which is just another part of the asinine combination of laws called the Safe Act. But since I’m LE, I’m exempt from the Safe Act.

As for the new recoil spring. Not all comps need them to be changed, not all handguns need them to be changed, its usually a case by case and most companies try to design their comps around stock recoil springs. Especially with the fact that gen 4 and 5 glocks have that stupid dual recoil spring assembly and so tuning the spring is a bit more of a pain in the ass (best option is getting the spacer to run a gen 3 recoil spring)
@Edwardteach72 I’m not saying being LEO makes be better or anything of the sort. I think the laws are ridiculous and don’t make any type of sense, especially when you look at the statistics. Everyone should be able to be on the same playing field.

No I know my last comment was more tongue in cheek, but there are many out there (bot LEO and not) that think LEO are not civilians.
And yea I did a gen 4 to 3 recoil swap when I ported my G19 barrel, i had about the same amount of issues with both the stock and tuned recoil springs. But I also didnt put much effort tuning it as the ports did t really do shit on the 19, and I traded my SLR Magwell for an OEM barrel with a buddy of mine who was running a comp on his carry G19.
Still have the ported barrel for the lulz (and may be getting the Overwatch Precision magwell and some of their base plates for my next magwell.. well eventually, I really need to finally get my x300u and a holster)
I have the Magpul magwell going on my 19. It’s not the fanciest magwell on the market, but it’s actually pretty nice and relatively cheap. Mainly because it’s minimalistic and barely adds any extra dimensions to the 19. I know that many people say that comps don’t do a whole lot on 9mm, but even if it’s a small difference, I’ll take whatever edge I can have on someone if ever need be. Comps seem to do there best work on a duty load like the 124+p’s. I’ll also be getting the X300U on the 19 as well. A few other upgrades like the Agency trigger and new connector. As for a holster I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting the new Tier 1 Axis Elite, it looks really promising. Especially with the Tier 1 wedge pack.

Also I have an agency trigger it's nice nothing special tbh. I've actually done a 180 with triggers and even the stock glock trigger is good and the difference is negligible when on the clock. But I love flat face triggers and prefer that so I have the agency, but keep looking at the Overwatch.
My buddy just traded the owner of Tier 1 his phylstr floodlight for a new axis (he already had a few tier 1 axis holsters and hated the floodlight) and he loves it. I'll be going with their xiphos v2 holster and a spare mag carrier, I've tried the while sidecar set up (granted it was a garbage trex sidecar) and It didnt give me the adjustability as having the separate holsters., but at the same time my buddy swears by his axis and even got 2 of our other friends to order them and they also love it

Few of my friends (and some fudds and undercover fudds) on here will try and give me shit for my Gucci(ish) glock especially for the RMR (and wanting a comp) and bring up no one even uses their sights at self defense distances, which I then ask why they still have sights on their gun.. never a response back.
Then I go on to mention I'm not looking for a fair fight, I want any and all advantages I can realistically have, in as many conceivable situations (hence wanting the x300u, had an Inforce APL, but I'd rather no light than a bad light).
Since my handgun is a defensive weapon and not offensive that means I'll already be at the disadvantage of it being holstered under concealment when its go time (more than likely), being NY I'm restricted to 10+1 rounds so I need to make them all count. Almost 12 hours of the day it is some form of dark. Not all shots may be needed to be taken at 1.3453 feet but maybe inside a large area similar to a Walmart, parking lots, or mall type buildings. Comps help with followed up shots to be faster and back on target (with the training)

I too tend to lean towards flat face triggers. The exact reasonwhy I have a Geissele SD-E on my AR. It was honestly a toss up between the Agency and the Overwatch for my Glock. I bought the Agency and the Taran Tactical Grand Master connector kit intending it to go into my 19. I put it into my Glock 26 while I wait for my 19 to return from getting framework done to it. But now I’m just thinking about buying an additional trigger (don’t know if I’ll go with Agency again or try out an Overwatch) for my 19 and leaving my 26 the way it is. I made a previous post about the Agency trigger and TTI connector kit. it definitely removed plenty of the initial take up and lightened it up a bit. And literally as we speak I have the 26 in a Trex Sidecar as well. It’s not the worst holster. It’s pretty decent but I think I would enjoy the Tier 1 better with it being able to conform to my body better since the mag caddy flexes with the cord. The new Elite version also has the bump on the mag side that helps pull it in tighter too.
Yea I just put the ghost spring kit in both my 19 and my 17, I have an oem minus connector that Overwatch polished and NP3 coated
And I am hearing good things about the polymer flat face triggers from agency and Overwatch
And everything I hated about the sidecar it looks like tier 1 improved, so if ever went back to that style holster I would go with the axis it what ever their newest one is

I completely agree with you. Those fudds are the exact same type of people that say why do you need a light on your gun?! “So you can point your gun at people just to look around?!?!”...the people with those mentalities have literally ZERO cognitive idea of how a self defense situation goes down, have terrible weapon manipulation skills (and most likely shoot like trash). Any real defensive weapon should have a weapon mounted light. Do people really believe that they can just point there firearm into the pitch black and just start pulling the trigger??? People baffle me sometimes. As for optics on pistols, red dots just make my life easier, if red dot optics didn’t work, they wouldn’t have been adopted to any rifle platform...but they do. You’re able to get on target that much faster since the human eye and brain only have to focus on two focal points. Those points being the red dot and your intended target. Superimpose the dot over your target and you’re good to go. With standard irons you have three. Front sight, rear sight, and target. Not to mention that you can not move your eyesight slightly off axis with your irons and keep perfect sight picture on your target like you can with a red dot. I can have that dot move around anywhere on the glass of the optic and as long as that dot is on the target, it’s going to hit it.
They will also be the same ones who think that someone is going to be able to take 800 or 1,000 lumens and or 15,000 candela (the 800 lumen streemlight) or even the 11,300 candela (the 1,000 lumen x300u) to the face and use that as an aiming point to shoot back.

Those same people use the argument that you’ll blind yourself with anything more than 500 lumens with the light refracting off a wall and render yourself useless. If you blind yourself with a light, it’s most likely your own damn fault. Just like a firearm with muzzle discipline, there is white light discipline with ND’s of light. People are ridiculous. I have a Surefire M600DF of my AR and have never blinded myself with it. I clear houses in the middle of the night while I’m at work with 1,000+ lumens all the time. Never once have I completely ruined the rhodopsin of my natural night vision from blinding myself with a light.
I really am looking hard at the Cloud defensive line of WML and now that they just released a handheld.. and oooh god if they put out a handgun mounted light ..
I was looking at the OWL a long time ago when it was still being developed and I could have bought one for like $200 from them. That’s when they were taking preorders. It’s slightly large but it definitely the most bombproof robust light on the market. I have the Cloud Defensive LCS on my AR. Buttt...now that Modlite has released their new stuff, I think I’d go with Modlite. As much as the robustness of the Cloud Defensive OWL is, I like the sleekness of the Surefire and Modlites. The new Modlite PLH and OKW heads can go on to any Surefire M600 or M300 body. Plus I really like the ability of the new Modlite 18350 body. It would allow me to keep my Surefire DF head and it’s 1,500 lumens but shorten it down the the size of an M300. And you can also put either the PLH or OKW head on it as well. Modlite is also releasing their handheld light VERY soon. Really badass stuff.

It worked since there isn’t a whole ton of information and reviews on it. Plus it is pricey lol. If the compensator works on it, it definitely is an option. I’m not completely sold on the design of the aesthetic milling all over the sides. I don’t like the look of bunch of triangular shapes all over it. I feel the angular shapes all over it like that won’t look as appealing with a Glock frame unless you had it modified to have some of the same angles put into the frame to look like they belong together. We all know that you shoot 50% better if you look cool. lol
I would agree I'm not a big fan at all the cuts, but I like the concept of the integrated comp, but like you said pricey
