Hate it.
video review
The massive change of parts, the flared magwell, the new finish, the new rifling, the entire feeling of "change for the sake of change." To name a few.The 9mm only part?
Hate it.
YOU CAN'T IMPROVE PERFECTION!Why? I think there are technical reasons.
I mean the glocks are super durable and reliable but what if they can make it even more durable?

You're confusing me with @Willjr75 on the 9mm thing. I own 2 Glocks. A 9mm and a 10mm. And a 40 conversion barrel.
YOU CAN'T IMPROVE PERFECTION!
YOU CAN'T IMPROVE PERFECTION!
Only gender changes.Wtf Darth? I thought you were a libertarian and "open-minded" to some changes?![]()
This does address some of the issues I have with Glocks. Sigh, the urge to try to like Glocks is rising again in me.
But I'm already heavily invested in the PPQ! And it's trigger is so much nicer than the Glock's! The aftermarket needs to start supporting this excellent and popular pistol damnit! Particularly in the area of holsters.Don't fight it....just let it happen.

I like to use forward serations when dumping a live round out of the chamber. I use the palm of my hand to deflect the round down the empty mag well.
Oh, well then I'd like to try a Gen 5 with those, when Glock gets around to it. That leaves the grip angle, which really can't be fixed, and the mushy trigger, which I can adapt too, as my only remaining complaints. You do realize that there is already a Gen 4 model with front serrations, right? It's designated by the suffix "FS"
Unfortunately, it still has the finger grooves.

So you prefer a longer reset? I can see that. The PPQ has a very short reset and I have a terrible habit of riding that reset which causes me to sometimes double. I don't like that. For that reason I'd be willing to put up with the Glock's mushier, heavier trigger. I really, really like the PPQ otherwise though, I like it even more that the excellent P226 Legion I had.The PPQ M2 is on my list. Shot one some time ago in .40 . Ergonomics love it. But i prefer the stock glock trigger reset. Kinda sucks when there is little or no aftermarket support i hear you.
$700 for a Glock!? On what planet!?I'm tired of the bulkiness with modern polymer duty sized pistols. They should really be focusing on slimming them down and adding more parts in stainless steel and coating them with whatever they want. I refuse to pay $700+ on a frame retaining the ergonomics of a brick with a slide made with steel that'll rust in a few hours during the spring and summer time.
What gun are you talking about? Most poly guns are in the $500 range or less. several of them, such as the PPQ, have really incredible egronomics, and the PPQ uses the impervious tennifer finish and Glocks new DLC finish is supposed to be even better than that yet. And if its anything like the DLC finish on my paramilitary 2 I'd belive it.I'm tired of the bulkiness with modern polymer duty sized pistols. PPQ has a well defined wall and with minimal creep to get over it and a crisp break when you do. Take up is slightly gritty but who gives a shit about take up feel?Everyone always says the Glock has a mushy trigger. I like it. I pull it, it hits the wall and after that wall it fires.
I don't like guessing when it will go off. I want the damned wall. This is a combat pistol and not a paper punching pistol for competition at the range.
You are describing how my Glock with the 4.5 connector feels.PPQ has a well defined wall and with minimal creep to get over it and a crisp break when you do. Take up is slightly gritty but who gives a shit about take up feel?
PPQ trigger is excellent right out of the box. That said I think trigger feel is overblown on a practical use pistol. I am willing to work with a mediocre trigger as its the shooter's technique that makes the difference. I freely admit mine sucks, I'm a horrible shot with handguns. You are describing how my Glock with the 4.5 connector feels.
