Where was I describing a PPS with a slim frame in this thread? I was exaggerating a little bit, but who said I was referring to a Glock specifically when talking about pricing? I was referring to any polymer duty sized pistol. The HK VP9 for an example has a pretty high msrp or when paying for tax on one locally the price can get up there pretty close to that mark. I always factor in sales tax totals and other fee's, always. What does it cost me to get a new handgun out the door, not what the initial price tag says. Is it worth it, can I get a better gun used, stuff like that.

Maybe you just assumed that because it was easier to do? The Walther PPS is a nice gun, it is however a single stack subcompact frame, not a duty sized pistol, but I'm glad you brought that up. I like that gun even though I believe it is pretty ugly much like other new walthers now. I was going to get one a few years ago when I realized I preferred the kahr cw9 pistol as it was almost exactly what I wanted. Not too small, very thin, very reliable, pretty much everything two tone SS (my favorite) nice crisp trigger, full size grip, no external safety, etc. It is an excellent simple pistol for the price too, just wish it would have came with an extra mag and I didn't have to buy another one. I like the first gen PPS the most with the included magazine extension as it lengthens the grip more, I'd need that and I shoot better with a longer grip. Kind of why I honestly prefer single stack guns with a full size grip most of the time because they can be made really thin and the purchase just feels a whole lot better. The bulk though.. the bulk is what I can't stand with double stacks.

Surprised with all the Walther talk in a glock thread. The PPQ has a light trigger for sure and I have seen a few get the unintentional double, but was not a problem for me. And for carry in our state I dont get having a grip the length of a G17 to carry 10 rounds.

I dont see the Gen 5 bringing new people to glock, but keeping glock fans with glock

Take all the backstraps with you to the range. Each one makes the gun different.

I have big palms but shorter fingers so I find that the smallest backstraps are what suiys me best. And minor as it seems to some I will wait till Glocks adds front slide serrations to the 5, I appreciate their utility on the range.

Removal of the finger grooves which never fit my hand quite right, removal of the stupid trigger guard hump that shredded my tiger finger after awhile, better factory sight options. No one big thing, just a bunch of little things.

It shoots just like my other Glocks but i did not feel the grooves.

My excuse....i wanted a 17.
