I have never been a huge fan of bullpups but her eit makes good sense. Putting an semiauto 50. BMG rifle into a form factor that can be effectively shoulder fired is incredibly cool.
So if you will all just crowdfund me $12,000 I will let you know what I think.

From the degree of barrel recoil it can't be that much worse than a Browning 5, and it's certainly less abusive than a Rheinmetall Rh-120.

I shot a serbu bfg-50 and it wasn’t bad at all. You need to have a good brake on a 50 bmg. I’d get the desert tech hti (bolt action) in a heart beat if I had the money.

If its anything like an Barrett M82/M107 it wouldn't be bad. Lot of recoil in those but the recoil operation spreads it out over a long duration so it just shakes you around as opposed to a sharp punch. The Barret uses a short recoil mechanism so the long recoil system of the Lynx might even be softer.

50BMG recoil is more like a shove than normal recoil that's more like a punch. The massive weight of the rifles slows the impulse down a lot.

My buddy that owns the serbu says it’s like shooting a 20 ga. It is very manageable. His rifle does have some heft to it. I’d like a 50 bmg but I just can’t justify it.

Well, in the 45 inch barrel it was designed for using powder technology from 100 years ago that powder serves a purpose

Plus the ammo is much cheaper for a .50 than the .408, which is a plus

The 50 is the cheap option for some of these big long range calibers.

Why do you take everything so seriously?
Its possible to get surplus .50 BMG after all for something that approaches, looking over a wall, through binoculars, affordable.
You can put more stuff in a .50 bullet. The Raufoss cartridge in particular does what no smaller plain lead bullet can.
I wonder of the Lynx here could be chambered in 20x82mm Mauser?

I dont think I am alone un terms of how to do more with less.
A caliber that beats the 50 at a distance and being able to carry 2 to 3 times more furepower for the same weight and a lighter gun is not a small thing.
