I got to start putting a parts list together for my next 25 builds. I am already doubling my list of projects this year thanks to the incompetent bafoons in Albany.
Still thinking about doing something with my scr lower.
I'm in the middle of a 5.56 build. Nothing fancy. Utilitarian. Just using up some leftover parts.
Would like to do a Glock build.
Right now though focusing more on downsizing and upgrading what I do have.
Are you going to "engineer in" the rattles later?Like a glove.

It is a build in, 50,000 rounds down range should do it.Are you going to "engineer in" the rattles later?
I started 2020 by decking and cutting slide rails for my 9mm Concealed Carry Officers (CCO) 1911.
still have to mill the frame for the Clark/ Para ramped barrel but, it is on its way to being the first gun of 2020 I make.

I am looking to do Sig P320 Build and a few other guns as time permits this year. I really haven't looked at buying a factory gun since buying a Sig P320 Legion last October. I may have to buy a bolt action 22 ( Ruger American w/wood stock) but other than that I am done with factory guns.
Anyone else building something interesting in 2020?
When I was active duty I would find a shop that did something I was interested in, befriend the owner and work for them for free. Well sort of free, they taught me what I was interested in and I was unskilled labor they didnt Have to pay. I learned a lot about machine shops, guns, computers, carpentry over the years.There is little I like more than examining workshops.
There is a lot to learn by observing other skilled people.
I learned my first trade this way. I turned wrenches at speed shop for just under minimum wage when I started. It was like trade school but I did earn a wage. It was only the owner and myself in the shop. Besides playing with race cars, we also worked on daily commuters to pay the bills. Within a year I was running the two bay shop. The owner was free to chase parts, run errands, and do the desk work. He was still doing 98% of the diagnostics but I learned a ton from him.When I was active duty I would find a shop that did something I was interested in, befriend the owner and work for them for free. I probably shouldn't ask, but... Where are you getting your frames and slides from?Got the frames cut and slides fitted for my twin 1911 commanders in 45. Hopefully, I will get a chance to test fire both on Monday.
I got a guy. LmaoI probably shouldn't ask, but... Where are you getting your frames and slides from?
I don't really need another project, but what the neck!
If I only had the machinery, I'd love to build a 1911. Look forward to seeing pictures of finished gun.I started 2020 by decking and cutting slide rails for my 9mm Concealed Carry Officers (CCO) 1911.

I dream that one day I would try this build;
Building a 9mm Bolt Action Rifle
I enjoy strange and unusual projects. What is more unusual than a bolt action rifle chambered for a pistol cartridge? While it has certainly been done before, for instance the 45 ACP De Lisle carbi…rifleshooter.com
When I bought my 22TCM rifle last year I was interested in doing the same thing. I haven't gotten around to buying a second 22TCM as a donor rifle yet but one day maybe I will get there. Unfortunately the bolt was not designed to be opened up much past the rim of the 9mm or handle a lot more pressure either. I was hoping to build a 9x23 win or a 9x25 dillon on it but it wont work so there goes that idea.I dream that one day I would try this build;

If you start with a complete frame instead of an 80%, its mostly hand tools and labor.If I only had the machinery, I'd love to build a 1911. Look forward to seeing pictures of finished gun.
A new house on the property we bought in AZ, and hopefully I'll be able to get a decent 300 yard range put together in the back yard.
