Worse yet, the BS about rounds in a magazine, doesn't matter pro/con 7/10 rounds, it staggers my imagination that somehow or another there is relative thought and or even concern by any gun owner. The fact that you even think about it, or worry about it is simply amazing and utterly ridiculous. Posts like you consciously accept the risk of consequences, Yada Yada Yada... What bullshit. And don't give me anything about Law Abiding by submitting to an arbitrary round count as defined by a ridiculous law. Gangbangers don't register, don't use FFL's, don't care about mag size, don't care about Teflon coatings, don't care about brandishing, don't care about your mother... The laws, as written, are by design, intended to CONTROL the law abiding gun owner. If you people don't get that yet, there's no hope for you anyway.

Sorry to ruffle feathers. Didn't know it was such an emotional issue for some. I just wanted clarification on what seems like a somewhat ambiguous law. I want to carry as many rounds as possible per magazine, but not risk arrest.
I called the local trooper barracks and was told 10 rounds are okay.

No, but I will call again tomorrow to do just that and make sure the opinion is unanimous.
I look at my mag that is supposed to have 15 rounds but only accepts 10 and I feel short changed.

This was sent to me on February 17, 2016.
So according to the state police and governors office, 10 rounds are only legal in WNY.
Which of course is bullshit. This head of the pistol permits for the NYSP has no idea what the law is and says alot of police dont know the law either.
Too me this is a travesty. If the head of pp for the NYSP is unclear on the law, how in the hell are we supposed to know.
I sent this email to Cuomo asking for clarity on the law and they made it even more unclear. Typical NYS.

Even if the cop is wrong, he can screw up your day.
I live in WNY so Im good but cops in other counties may ruin someones day.
