Having 10 rounds in a 10 round magazine?

Ok, now THAT shouldn't be posted.
The 15 round mag is illegal.

It SHOULD accept 15 rounds (since the pistol was designed for 15), but because it is a NY compliant magazine it only accepts 10.

I just read the relevant part of the 2nd circuit decision and it CLEARLY and definitively states that the 7 round limit was struck down for the ENTIRE state of NY.

It says nothing about 10 rounds so 10+1 is all good.

Our state police are obviously incompetent. I was told by a lieutenant in th NYSP that the 2nd circuit does not represent the entire state. He either LIED or is ignorant.
Why would he give me false information on such a serious issue?

I'll go even further and say that if you have a registered antique standard capacity magazine, you can load it to full capacity.

The ruling does not say the limit is 10. It says that the 7 round limit is struck on a magazine legal to possess.

It Was called for, the fact that this topic is debated still is the point, the fact that there are arbitrary limits placed upon RIGHTS which serve to only inhibit and burden the so called LAWFUL Gun Owner is utterly ridiculous. Also ridiculous is the programming into the active consciousness and/or psychosis as to making gun owners worry about being compliant to such arbitrary BS is completely relevant and called for. But maybe I'm starting to bend so far to the extreme in my thinking there's a separation from those who are willing to bow down to all the ridiculousness. I can see where guys like John Stark over there got so disenchanted with all the forum thumb sucking posters. There is nothing to debate, and yeah, I'll suffer the consequences, "NEVER" cause there is no way, EVER, you or anyone else, who is a licensed gun owner in this State will have an issue with "an excessive load count" in their magazine (10) or (7) or whatever... So it's all a waste of time to debate it, it'll never see the inside of a court room on its own merits!

And no Badass either, but maybe a bit passionate about my convictions would be a more appropriate assessment/characterization.

Just for the record, I posted a couple links on the defunct site, one was the NYSP handbook directly after the UnSafe Act showing the 7rd limit. The other was the revised NYSP handbook showing the change back to 10rds. I'm not lookin for it again but they are there

He gave people shit for putting a Thordsen stock on their rifles or fixing the magazine to go out in public and always talked about watering the trees of liberty with blood. I called him out on it and dared him to go fire the first shot at his local barracks with his fully featured AR and he replied with a, "Why should I go to jail or get killed for you? Are you going to pay my mortgage when I'm gone?" Bingo!
