Hi, I'm new to your group. I'm interested in discussing handgun sights. Thanks.
Don't ask difficult questions so early.
Ok, let's make it easier.... do you have a red dot on any of your HAND HELD PERSONAL DEFENSE DEVICES??
SORRY IF I CONFUSED YOU AGAIN!! LOL
What about a red dot on one of my caisson mounted personal defense weapons? Asking for a friend.
What about a red dot with suppressor sights?
I prefer a Red suppressor with night sights.
Always grab the best tool for the job, and often different tools are best for different circumstances. Some tasks may require multiple tools to get the job done right.
Red Dots are great but they cost alot of money and you need to spend more money to mill the slide unless you have a factory mounting plate setup which suck anyway. And then you need to get all new holsters.......
So yeah, red dots on pistols are great but they are a big pain in the ass. Pretty much anything that requires to to ship gun somewhere sucks because it is such a damn hassle to even find someone that will ship the thing in the first place.
When prices and optic ready guns become cheaper I would like to give it a try.

I agree with you! After spending a ton of $$ to have a red dot mounted you have to consider if it will hold up to the shock of the slide movement. Notch and blade seem to be the only option. I just wish I could get my target acquisition faster!! Lol
Red dot (RMR specifically) is the way to go.
Its funny you say this as I just saw this (and this isn't the first one of these posts from top end instructor) and thought hmm fitting
Thanks for posting. I didn't realize p10s are now being made in the US, and that they come with orange outlined tritium front sights, with a new reversable mag release design that fixed the stiff ambi button on other models. Good to know.
