Nope he is antigun through and through.I belive there is a difference between an anti gunner and a new arrival that doesn't know any better. The OP may just be the latter.
PR, hearts and minds is a thing you know.
Wether or not the OP is genuine or not, regardless of whatever ulterior motives he may have we should strive to be good ambassadors to our way of life. Or we will lose it.
I thought it was curt and smug. We may be dealing with an indoctrinated person here. Facts and an honest dialog may be effective. Or not. However silence is preferable to hostility IMO.This is insulting to me and it should be to you as well:
You think what I wrote was insulting? I find it to be an accurate illustration of where this person comes from. He or she believes in gun free zones and values the illusion of safety over actual security.
I would say nothing then if that were my belief.Nope he is antigun through and through.
How about I say whatever the fuck I want regardless of what you think and I'll let you play Mr. Gullable to every troll that wanders in here.I thought it was curt and smug. Keep believing that, hearts and minds is a losing strategy. Scorched earth and take no prisoners is the way we won the last world war and how we will win the next.Wether or not the OP is genuine or not, regardless of whatever ulterior motives he may have we should strive to be good ambassadors to our way of life. Or we will lose it.
Oh look at you. Alright then, when you decide its time to march you'll find me, up ahead somewhere.Keep believing that, hearts and minds is a losing strategy. Scorched earth and take no prisoners is the way we won the last war and how we will win the next.
Okay. I loves youHow about I say whatever the fuck I want regardless of what you think and I'll let you play Mr. Gullable to every troll that wanders in here.
As you claim to be a journalist of sorts, I would expect that you would do some actual research on the Second Amendment to understand its significance to American history and culture prior to any interviews on either side of the subject. Also understand the difference between a Right and a Privilege. Note - actual research includes historical texts and writing of the Founders, not sound bytes from CNN, MSNBC or Katie Couric.
Doing some slipshod interviews in the wake of a tragedy that has been politicized makes your work no better than the propaganda the main stream media spews out. Worse yet it sounds as if you would use any interviews to support your own opinion/perspective as you haven’t presented anything remotely resembling a well thought out objective or agenda.
As for reasons to carry a gun it’s quite simple and requires no interviews.
Do you drive a car with airbags? Why?
Do you have a fire extinguisher or smoke detector in your home? Why?
Do you have a first aid kit at home or work? Why?
Do you have health insurance if you’re not sick? Why?
Some people choose to BE ABLE to defend themselves and their loved ones in an emergency without relying on the state to protect them. Police are under no obligation to help you when you are in danger.
Stakes are low anyway. You said so yourself.Okay. I loves you
Can I pet your corgi? I like corgis but I don't think I've ever met one.Stakes are low anyway. You said so yourself.
If you are ever in the Capital region let me know. BTW Pod, you are one of my favorite members here even if we don't agree on everything. There are no hard feelings on my end.Can I pet your corgi? I like corgis but I don't think I've ever met one.
Appeasement, didn't work for Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain or Europe and it won't work for the gun owners in America it hasn't since 1911 and it isn't going to work now. You see they are talking compromise in Washington. That is code for gun owners lose.Oh look at you. Alright then, when you decide its time to march you'll find me, up ahead somewhere.
Possibly.Could this be that same Commander Zero dude?
I'm just saying we should be........ polite I guess:Appeasement, didn't work for Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain or Europe and it won't work for the gun owners in America it hasn't since 1911 and it isn't going to work now. How does the song go? "say allegence to the flag, whatever flag they offer, never show them how you really feel."

That's a good looking dog!
Whatever @Willjr75 we all know you were looking at my crotch in that first photo, lol. But seriously, thanks! He's a very handsome dog and a great puppy and they are always puppies. That's a good looking dog!
Armed?I should get a truck dog. I love dogs! A lot more than people. I wish I could get a corgi but It doesn't sound like the breed would make a particularly good truck dog.
I hear the Shiba Inu might though.
@ArmedCorgi, whats his/her name?
Mr. barky von schnauzers?Armed?
There is good reason for loving dogs more than people. I'm 100 percent with you there. I wish I knew a breed that would be ideal for life on the road. My best guess and don't take this the wrong way, is that a low energy dog or a breed that didn't need constant mental stimulation would be the best for long rides. You might be focused and alert because of what you have to deal with driving, but your puppy will be bored.I should get a truck dog. I love dogs! A lot more than people.
