.308 Win
Which option would you choose and why?
I'm stuck deciding between these 3 atm.
1)Ruger PC Carbine (I'd like to hold out for a 40 or 357Sig version but that may never happen)
9mm ammo and 10 round Glock mags are cheap and readily available and it has the Ruger CS/warranty.
2)M1 Carbine repro from Kahr/AO or Inland. I like the idea of something in semi auto that shoots something similar to 357 mag. I should be able to shoot it enough to find any issues within the 1 year warranty. From my research, nobody likes the aftermarket 10 round mags, so I'd end up ordering a bunch of surplus 15 rounders to my FFL and installing mag blocks (permanently of course)
I want to shoot it. Quite a bit. No safe queen, piece of history, relic wanted. I'd hate to spend the money on a quality original and have to worry about it and be OCD with it during and after I shoot it. That type of gun I'll add later.
3)Springfield M1a Scout (NY compliant without the muzzlebreak or fixing the mag and feeding with stripper clips)
They look sharp in the walnut or composite stock and plinking .308 is readily available and fairly affordable again. I'd probably pick up a 5 round mag for hunting down the road.
