I used to be in plumbing and heating. A lot of the brochures and catalogs and calendars featured women and often scantily clad (Women in bikinis leaning on 80% boilers is definitely incongruous). I did not appreciate that type of advertising and I found it embarrassing. Simply removing the bikini clad women from the add was fine. Problem solved. No need to then tear down men to promote feminism to sell boilers. And my anecdotal evidence shows that I never saw a woman help remove and old boiler, help carry an old or new boiler or help install a new boiler, so there is no reason to have an ad showing their long history of boiler installation.
Beer is linked with the concept of a good time and the audience is traditionally in my lifetime more men than women. The advertiser is often specifically promoting a good time that involves social and sexual themes. That is certainly much more appropriate for beer than boilers.
Bottom line is that sex does sell for some products and if you choose to advertise that way, fine. If you choose not to advertise that way fine as well. If you choose to advertise in a way that offends your target audience, you loose sales. If you advertise in a way that offends an audience that is not your target, so what? If you hold the line on your product and it's promotion that is true to it's history, historical values and target audience and don't cave, you should be able to weather the outrage from your those you are not targeting for sales. Let them pound sand.
Personally, I no longer buy from Inbev/Anhauser Buch even though I like Corona, Modello and Breckenridge Vanilla Porter. Their sorry, not sorry apology does not cut it for me when it comes to promoting & celebrating Transgender ideology. I also tune out and won't buy or watch shows from advertisers/producers that tear down men and portray them as stupid or promote women as superior. I like to watch and follow many talented women in the shooting sports arena, on you tube, in media, in film and TV. I promote empowering women in construction roles (the physical hammer swinging, electrical wiring, pipe work, tiling, roofing, etc.) through Habitat for Humanity that they can then use to help themselves, their families, their friends and neighbors and those in need. Promoting women is fine, but doesn't have to be and shouldn't done a the expense of or by tearing down men.

This is just my opinion. If the company didn't want to advertise with women in bikinis then don't. The problem is another company thinks that their rep for their product can turn around and push a narrative.
H&K should have said nothing, dropped the bikinis and sold guns. Instead some Karen had to get involved.

If I remember correctly a concerned abbot even sent a sample (perhaps the world's first keg) to the Pope to see if it was sinful for the monks to drink. The Pope (a wine drinker like all good Italians) thought it was horrible and wrote back to the abbot stating that anyone who drank beer was clearly doing so in penance, so he gave his blessing for the brewing/imbibing to continue.

Brewing is similar to cooking.
If the guys were out hunting down the food (or farming the fields), then the women would have largely been the ones preparing it.
It makes sense that the people cooking dinner would be the ones to invent beer, not the ones hunting the ingredients down.

It would be nice to see more professionalism in social media brand marketing. That yeast changed the taste and smell and produced alcohol during the process.
Someone thought it smelled good and took a sip...then more sips.
Others joined in and became the first humans to get "shit faced".
So the men told the women -
"Make some more of this and we'll all get loaded and party hardy."
"We're going hunting now...better be a lot more of this stuff here when we get back."
The women figured that with hunting and getting blitzed, the men wouldn't bother them so much, so they made metric shit-tons of beer.
And it was good.

I'm not sure you can gather enough wild ingredients to brew a beer.
It is possible it was discovered as a byproduct of some cooking process.
The point is beer is made in a kitchen, not a field. If it really was monks, it was invented by the ones cooking in the kitchen.
