I want yet another AR-15

Ive assembled 4 lowers. Its not that hard. Worst part is the trigger guard. I bought 2 Anderson with that already on.

Ez pz. My rifles were around $450 total and my ar pistols were like $475-500 total

You wouldnt believe how easy they are to build. Its not even building, its assembling parts. Ive assembled roughly 9 AR's over the last 15+ years and every time I do it I question if this spring goes here or this pin goes here. Yet its easy. I just finished a AR10 6.5 Creedmoor for a buddy. He spared no expense. BSF carbon barrel, Magpul Precision adjustable stock, Aero upper/lower receivers, Aero handguard, Geissele SD-E trigger. He spared one expense now that I think about it,,,he put one of those ugly ass Burris non straight scope mounts on it. Finished yesterday. $1700 in parts

You should build unless you already have something in mind that "pops" in your mind.

Figure out the performance specs and then the looks and build around that. Based on the link you posted you have a very decent budget to do something nice, off the shelf or assembled.

The upper is harder than the lower.

Once you have all the parts.... you drive over and we will throw it together in an hour. Im 1 hour from Buffalo. You build and I will guide you with my superior technical AR skills. Use my tools

I changed my mind so changed my whole post. Sue me, the firm could use the business.

You can probably build whatever you want for *far* less than 1500 unless you want something flashier than fuck or one hole / 10 rounds at 200. Assume you are going .223/5.56 and not a specialty caliber?

Odin complete uppers are nice but spendy at $900.

If you have the interest building/assembling your own rifle it’s really enjoyable. I put a lower together this weekend in about an hour with interruptions. Take your time and watch some videos before and during assembly. You don’t need a lot of expensive tools but you will need a couple specialty items that not everyone has on hand (punches, torque wrench, vise block, etc). You get bragging rights especially when it runs right. On the other hand if it malfunctions you own that too. It does teach you a lot about the platform and maintenance. If you don’t care to tinker buy a complete rifle.

Have you considered that AR firearm that is not a pistol nor a rifle? That way you can get one with an 11.5 inch barrel. A little more handy than a 16 inch barrel.
