"Just don't drop it."
-Sig.
Gee, that makes me want to run out and buy a Sig.They legit blame every issue on the user.. between guns going off and people being shot from an accidental discharge (yes in this case with the 320s its an AD not an ND) ...
Then at shot show when they reveled the 365 and it was having feeding issues (most believe it was from the magazine, probably still needed the final bugs worked out) sig blamed the shooters..
Then the whole 365 primer drag and broken strikers, again sig denied it, blamed the users, then did silent fixes on new ones
I'm going to be totally honest I may be way over reacting but because of this issue and the way sig handled it, it made me Leary enough of their products and customer service, that I didn't buy their product.
I like the p320. But, In an extremely competitive market with many great choices I had to narrow down my options of guns I like. There are plenty of other choices available that I like where I won't have these concerns in the back of my mind.
In my opinion, if you buy a pistol to use and Carry, i want total confidence in it. I wouldn't want to be carrying something that in the back of my mind im worried about the possibility of a rare but highly dangerous issue to happen. Not when there are so many other options that are comparable.
I feel sig rushed the product out too quickly and should have taken more time in R&D and testing. Not using customers to test it for them.
For the record, 4 other contemporaries of the sig p320 have gone on to be less popular but at least according to those who own then very widely liked, reliable and free of design defects. (fn 509, Beretta APX, Ruger American and the cz p10. The P10 I'd interesting because it can be argued that like the sig it was "rushed" too quickly to market, but cz has addressed their issues, stood by their product and made continual improvement. Cz handled the situation properly to the point where I would certainly but their gun. The biggest irony is Beretta and FN appear to have taken their time with R&D for the 509 and APX respectively and their first version releases were rock solid reliable from day 1. Ironically the p320 has probably 10x the sales as the 509 and APX combined. Go figure.
I will argue that the 320 wasn't exactly rushed.. the 320 is nothing more than the failed P290.
It actually is all the same parts sig just swapped the hammer to a striker
P250?

This is why I never carry with "One in the Pipe"
Obviously, if I believe there will be an imminent situation, that changes. I prepare according to any perceived threat.
But "One in the Pipe", day-to-day, in my lifestyle ? Not yet.
I would strongly recommend against carrying this way. There are multiple instances on camera of people not given time (or not physically able) to rack the slide before firing. You could be carrying something, get injured in the arm, or even using your other arm to defend yourself while drawing.
Probably the most important reason - unless you've trained THOUSANDS of times, in the stress of the event you'll forget you don't have a round in the chamber and the moment you need to fire to save your life it goes "click" with no "bang".
They carry for the most part without one in the pipe primarily. The Military I'm sure has fired millions of round through these by now. Any issues would have been addressed back to SIG like the Beretta's in the past and fixed.
