I'm not familiar with the Bulgy can, its what's pictured? The Version of the Ace we get in this country has 1/2x28 threads so I don't think a Krink device would fit.

Looks like most are traditional RH M24x1.5mm threaded (true bulgarian flash cans) and the CNC Warrior US made one is for "M14 LH muzzles"

But while not exactly the same design or style as the Noveski. It's pretty close so (while not actually important) I think you Ace is going to look super slick when its all said and done

That being said I got the KX8 not for its appearance but because it is a highly effective flash suppesor and moderator. I am surprised Noveske got tge ATF to sign of on it since it contains what could be considered a single baffle. What ever blast and flash it doesn't moderate it sends downrange away from the shooter. A buddy of mine has the larger KX3 on a 10.3 l" AR and it does a remarkable job in toning down the obnoxiousness level. Mine will have its hands full with the 8.3" stub of a barrel the Ace has.

Buy once cry once.. may have spent crazy money but on quality so once everything comes in I think the piece of mind that everything is going to work if you ever needed it will take a good bit of the sting away

Does sting a little. But then I would need about that much money again for glass and I really wanted to have my truck gun before the election.

Oh, I got an Email from Midway, the modilte an KX5 are in transit now. As is the Arisaka mount.
I highly recommend the Arisaka light mounts BTW.
I think they are the best innthe biz and they have something for near every application.

Yea that LMT would be awesome. But based on what you have designed a priority now I think you went the right way vs say buy LMT then toss together some low budget truck gun that you may not have as much faith in.

And yea I am starting to look at the Arisaka next to the Haley Strategic.

Oh and I forgot to mention when you brought up hopefully the galil doesn't kill the Modlite.

Their lights are able to survive a scar 17 on full auto

Note the bolt hold open function and the bolt release button (above the mag release)
It is only present on the 5.56 versions for some reason. The .308 versions ought to have this feature too.

And as a corollary to @Will555's earlier post regarding machine quality of internals, or lack thereof, check out the machining on the IWI:

IWI's quality is peerless. I don't think Krebs or Rifle Dynamics have anything over the Ace.

I have a custom Blue Force Gear sling, in black multi cam, on the way and of course the KX5 muzzle device.

I do belive this will become the primary HD tool after initial shakedown.

Interesting thing about the brace too. As supplied by IWI the hinge and the extension tube seem to be the same as a factory stock over which a sleeve to which the rubber brace is slipped onto is placed
The brace rotates freely around the sleeve and with some effort can be removed. That said the brace seems like it will do the job one would need it to. It is surprisingly rigid.

Also the Nightstrike Diamondback AFG, while funny looking is extremely ergonomic and I dare say superior to a true vertical grip. Actually for the purpose of keeping one's support hand clear of the muzzle it is far superior, with my hand locked in, thumb clamped around the rear of the light I don't think there is any danger of that happening at all.

Took a Gen III stock and had it hydro-dipped in "maple" to match the forend. I suspect if you put this on a rack with other AK's in a free state, it would take a while before anyone noticed. There would be a definite "what the f__k is that?!" moment, but not right away.

He said it took 6 months (due to COVID-19) and $280, so he clearly put quality as the first priority over speed and money.

Apparently, he's been knocking on everyone's "door" to get an AK manufacturer to offer this as an option.
