Thank you hahaha was wondering because during the limited information research I was able to do about the MFer I recall someone saying magpul mags don't work so I kind of stopped looking at getting an MFer since it would limit magazine usage
But now idk if the MFer has issues with any or most mags actually

AK12 mags are crazy expensive. It’s because they are the current steel reinforced polymer Russian military issues mags with the windows. Do I want them? YEP! Am I paying hundreds of dollars for one mag? NOPE! lol It would be a sweet flex to own them though. Maybe I’ll get there one day...ya never know! Haha

I’d still probably trust throwing one AK12 mag at an assailant than attempting shooting either two of the Bear Creek rifles.
But I am now 100% reevaluating the idea of adding the MFER...
If it works with other mags besides steel mags (aka magpul gen 2/3 or even the new US Palm) then I will probably end up getting it

It almost makes me want to go the Mk3 route for my AK. But I’ve got too much invested in the one that CW Gunwerks will be building for me. So maybe I’ll just need another AK eventually. lol

I put Texas weapon system dogleg rails on all my saigas back in the day.always held zero too.there is a removable rear mounted peep sight they sell too.i got them for back up cause I love red dots on my aks.
That what I was going to go with. At the time that was one of the better solutions besides going with a beryl rail.
A few years back there was a company called Snake Hound Machine (They’re Metal Gear fans) that started around 2012 and they came out with some nice modernized AK’s before anyone else had done really. I haven’t heard much from them the last few years. But back in the day, their stuff was pretty innovative. Now, there are much more modernized products on the market.

Yeah, the safe act is crap. It doesn’t make any sense. Same thing with the ATF. It’s just a money grabbing department. Majority of the states allow you to have NFA items, as long as you make sure you fill out the form, do your fingerprints again, passport photos, and pay your $200 tax stamp...you’re good to go. The restrictions are annoying.

As for the Zenitco RP-1 I’m pretty sure it will only fit correctly with AKM dimension charging handles. Otherwise the charging handle/RP-1 have to be modified for fitment. CW Gunwerks is going that for me with my kit. The Perst series of devices are pretty nice for what you get. I’ve watched a ton of videos on them. Here’s a nice comparison video.
Yea seems like for the price ($425) it's a solid option mainly for how sick the visible laser is
One of the downsides though is it doesn’t utilize the same wiring capabilities as Surefire and Modlite, where you can use the same pressure switches like a ModButton or TAPS to control the White Light/IR/Laser.
Yea I was thinking around about that and would essentially get screwed and have to use 2 pressure pads or something
Though I did watch one video where a guy cut the wires to the original Perst pressure switch and required it to a different one.
