I don’t understand how someone like her gets there. Center-left and hard-left voters alike would probably agree some of the things she did as DA would leave a bad taste in their mouths. That should have torpedoed her as much of a Democrat anything. The crap we put up with from these old parties is mind-boggling.

I know it happened, but unless we know she’s doing the same here, it’s frankly fades to the background in relevance to me. Sex is sex, it’s not a big deal. I’m sure she’s hardly the first or the last to strike that bargain. I would wager there’s quite a bit of transactional sex in DC already, plus sham marriages, marriages of convenience, etc.
What is relevant is that as someone who’s talked about criminal justice reform in a fairly serious and comprehensive way for the better part of a decade, the crap she pulled as a DA is a non-starter on its own, and we’ve known that for a good long while. Yet, even in a climate where the wokesters are hammering that subject so hard, she was not only not dropped like a hot rock, she’s apparently even a good choice. These kinds of antics are embarrassing and will set back any kind of reform for decades. There’s no chance that anyone in the DNC is taking anything seriously.

That’s my concern, too. Gary Johnson was the man, until the pressure was on to meet the ridiculous polling threshold for the debates. Then he crumpled like a beer can under a boulder. Nevertheless, if Trump and Biden are the choices...no thanks. But I feel ya. I really have to vet the state and local L candidates. Some of them are a little, shall we say, odd?
I have long-standing beefs with the major parties anyway, so it’s a fairly high bar to get me to vote for major party presidential candidates anyway.
